- In this episode, the tables are turned as Kirk Norcross takes over the podcast to instead interview Dan! No topic or question is off limits as Kirk delves deep into Dan’s own journey with addiction, mental health and his own personal struggles in life; from childhood trauma, to thoughts of suicide and dealing with the death of a parent.
They also discuss relationships, the creation of Daniel’s alter ego Dapper laughs, the challenges that come along with being famous and living with ADHD.

My mum was murdered 3 years ago. Only just hitting me now. Was using all the usual bits to block it out but starting to clear my head and body so I can face my demons. This podcast helped me realise it’s doable. Keep it up fellas you’re reaching people on a bigger scale than you realise. ❤

I discovered your amazing pod when I was in my first week of sobriety and I’m now 59days clean. I just wanted to say every clip and every pod is so relatable and has helped me keep moving. It may sound silly but the humour and way you project your journey has been so supportive. Please don’t ever stop this because I know so many heads out there feel like this is the only relatable source of information. Keep up the good work. Big love. ❤

I’ve watched everyone of your Menace II Sobriety, it’s been a really emotional watch and listen journey, this one the toughest! As a mother you think you know everything about your children, you know them and understand them inside out - but in truth you do not!!
Our children are so resilient, as parents we can put them thru hell, no matter how hard we try to protect them from our shit we all know that it rubs off on them.
I don’t feel guilty, neither should you - I feel proud, proud of me for always doing my best and so, so proud of you Daniel for always striving to do your best!
Most of all I’m proud of you for opening up to the world and sharing your truth ❤
Im 83 days sober today. These podcasts are honestly brilliant. Don’t need no bells and whistles. Just 2 normal lads talking about how fucking hard life is. We can all relate in some or another.

My heart breaks for you Kirk, its been 23 years and still breaks my heart. Keep on your journey, you are doing such amazing things to raise awareness with Daniel. My dad ended his life because of alcohol. I used to punish myself because of it.

Kirk’s a brilliant addition to the podcast , especially as he was what I’d call a proper user . A lot of people cannot relate to someone who does a packet now and again as most hardcore users would like to be able just to have a binge a couple of times a month . Keep up the good work, both of your Dads would be so proud of the work your doing helping others who are in a bad situation , your podcast really helps .

I'm so glad u was the interviewed dude. Bout time 😅 love watching sobriety. I lost my mom to cancer 6yrs ago now an thats when i started drinking. I was a fuctioning alcoholic. I couldn't get over it, still haven't. Fuk knows how i got thru the other side. But life is precious. You're helping me loads you guys. Thank you 😊

Can we mention CGL for people also. I am curently waiting to join there rehab for a detox. I am only young I am 23 didnt enjoy admitting ive got a problem with the yay but they've been very supportive so far and have taken me very seriously.
Also really appreciate this videos. My brother sent them me, he is someone who I obviously love very much but also envy, he can go out on a saturday get onnit, have few beers and still go back home, support his mrs and kids and not have any problems, might even still have half a ticket left in wallet. I would love that but sadly with my addictive nature and mental health I just dont have a stop button, I enjoy not being Doug anymore because its gets me away from the pain and guilt from the things ive done while on the sesh. I am gonna try my best to change so thanks so much for keep making these videos for us lads to relate too. We are not alone in this, just sometimes wed rather lie than be honest. Fed up of keep saying im alright.

Love this podcast, only thing id say you maybe shouldn't be limited to just sobriety cause you might run out of guests or stuff to talk about, plus be cool to see all different kinds of guests! sorry if this comes across wrong don't mean if I sound like a d#ck. love the podcasts keep them up mate.
I get ya mate but these pods are specific for sobriety as the name suggests. Maybe could look into another type of pod in the future though!

You shouldnt have to apologise for your taste in humour. Comedy is often subjective and always pushing the boundaries of being offensive. There have been hundreds of comedians long before you who's content would have offended lots of people. But as with anything, if you dont like it, dont watch it. We live in a generation where everyone is offended by everything and the media are there gleefully stoking the fire to get people cancelled, which just reinforces this snowflake mentality.
