Somehow I see some similarities with Maori dance Haka, especially the opening, shouting/cheering, and dancing while also singing (or chanting?), minus the setting where they sat on the floor while Haka dancers standing. More interestingly is that since both are Austronesian Culture, makes it like it's something in common between Austronesian Folk Dances? idk, I'm not sure.
Still Ratoe Jaroh dancers always make me amazed and questioning how did they remember every movement sequences while they hit the markers. Also as you mentioned, the precision not to hit someone by accident 😁😁

yes they are fast and in sync but here is thing it is easier to stay in sync with fast movement the real slow or just slow reason for this is slow u can mess it up real fast by getting just a little behind or a little ahead and it will sow where as fast u get either and the speed will ide it and u can recover in next movement
