I think he has. If Wilder didn't exist, Fury could've probably fought 5-6 fights more in his career. But those hard hits definitely took their toll on his career longevity. If someone were to beat Fury, it's because of lasting damage from the Wilder trilogy.
Wilder got nothing to be ashamed about in defeat to Tyson Fury. Gave it all he had in all 3 fights! Massive heart, both warriors, gave Tyson some trouble too. Top 3 for sure!
Bro these two dropped each other I think wilder it was his first time and fury his second and so on . Fucking warriors man . Until this day how Fury got up from that is beyond me . I love how fury said years after his first interview about wilders power, that nobody can take it . That’s a man that’s humble and you love seeing that in boxing . He had first said wilders power is this and that once you feel it it’s real . Crazy man , specially with how much smaller wilder is . Some dudes just have stupid dumb KO power
@@guillermo2k90 so true. Similar to Wilders power for someone so lean, what amazes me is Fury’s technical ability after being out of boxing for 3 years, going through depression etc and coming back to challenger wilder after a warm up fight. Two great fighters in their own right 👌🏽
The most epic trilogy in my lifetime and always will be. No way could another break the suspense of one punch landing from either could end the fight. Amazing to be alive to witness it as it happened
Great trilogy. There have only been a few like this in the history of boxing. This is up there with Ali-Frazier. But even more action. 8 knockdowns and a TKO in three fights. These dudes left it all in the ring. Wilder is amazing, but Tyson is possibly the best to ever do it, and definitely the best of his generation.
Thats literally the opposite of what Wilder is. He is all force, no technical boxing. He has a thunderous right hand. That’s it. He doesn’t know how to box.
It was completely gameplan that made Fury dominated the 2nd. Wilder would have never thought fury would be the one pushing for the KO. Wilder learned how to fight on the back foot in the third and it definitely helped a lot.
He only beat wilder because he punched him at the back of the head, to disorientate him, without doing that, he wouldn't have got those knockdowns and knockouts
Wilder hits so unbelievably hard jesus christ, fury had 40+ pounds up on him and still had to be cautious. I hope he fights joshua or usyk, or literally any other heavyweight cause hes such a spectacle to watch
Mike and Ali would’ve destroyed him. Not made him look stupid but they would’ve came up top. I’ve seen Tyson and wilder fight in person. Mike 8 times and wilder only twice but mike would’ve won.
i hate how hard people dickride fury with these fights, imo deontay shouldve won that first fight, but ppl act like cuz he lost 2 fights in his whole career against the only other dude in boxing on his level that he's some kinda hack. annoying. they're very evenly matched.
Tyson is the better boxer of the two. Way more technical but Deontay has the equalizer with the power. With that being said, I don’t think much would change in a 4th fight.
Maybe. Is hard to explain if you never done something similar but I'll try. Some sports (MMA, Boxing, Race sports, climbing and alpinism etc) come with a great danger of permanent damage or even death. If you decide to do it, you already accepted it. As a personal story: last month I was descending a mountain in the Alps when I stepped on a rock that fell, letting me slide down for many meters. I had the focus to take my sticks and stop the fall, then I stood and continued to walk like nothing happened. My heartbeat didn't even change during and after the fall. When I told what happened to other people they were like "are you not scared?". Here is the thing. No, I am not. I know it can happen, I already accepted it. Was it worth it? For me, yes. Because in that way I feel alive. For people like fury and wilder is the same and also they get a ton of money.
Fury won the 1st fight but he should be really thankful the judges were corrupt because I guarantee he made over $100 mill on the 2 rematches and the trilogy never would have happened if Fury won that 1sr fight.
I gotta be real. Fury note then likely was gonna win anyway but I think wilder shoulda got the chance to get a count because fury got a full count after being laid out

I think Fury said he might’ve suffered some permanent damage from those hits. What a great trilogy. It’s not so easy to hit Fury.
I think he has. If Wilder didn't exist, Fury could've probably fought 5-6 fights more in his career. But those hard hits definitely took their toll on his career longevity. If someone were to beat Fury, it's because of lasting damage from the Wilder trilogy.

Arturo Gatti vs Micky Ward for me, but this one is the second one buddie.

Some of the best fights in heavyweight history. I'm a fan of both these warriors.
4 Knockdowns from Wilder
5 Knockdowns from Fury (1 KO)
9 Knockdowns in total.
