I have always wondered why such a tall and long-armed boxer doesn't use his left hand, as the left hand always opens the door in the ring. I thought after the last fights he would start using his left hand more, which he also said that he would train his left hand. But it's very difficult to change habits you have been using for many years and you already have 'your own style'. Habits are difficult to fix. You would have to start from the very beginning with the basics of boxing.

@@D.B.Cooper-747 Usyk has all the power what needed. He just is so skilled that he uses combos and not try to hit one lucky shot. Wilder was allready counted out. He look so bad against Joseph Parker that i had no faith on him against Zhang. I mean Zhang is big guy but Usyk is waaaay better than Wilder and i belive also Zhang. I have been following him for wild and lookes most of his matches. He reminds me Georghe Foreman. Zhang like all the heavyweights have that 1 lucky hit chance. There is a reason why Usyk schooled Joshua, Dubois and Fury. Skill U can not learn size so he learn how to box. Fury also for his size is skillfull but not as good as Usyk who will be more comfortable in heavyweight every match he take. I think Parker and Dubois also are better than Zhang. Atleast more talented. Wilder is actually pretty bad boxer. He has been losing so many fights but his onetime hit wonder has saved him too many times and they are not even top 20 fighters. Zhang is his peak or going down. Sadly. But he still have few years. But his stamina perhaps wont last against good moving best heavyweights. Smaller guys will dominate next era said Great mr. Foreman. They just need to start moving again and learn basics. Big guys are really struggling after that. They stamina wont last against talented smaller and much faster and skilled fighters.

There's alot of people saying wilders not the same don't throw as many punches. I disagree.. he didn't throw much against Parker cos he was outboxed. he went for it more here in these 5 rounds against zhang but still was outmatched. Point being wilder was never proven to the point everyone makes. He would have always lost to parker at any stage and the aj fight was never a good idea for him. He did well to get 3 yes 3 fights against fury and make some good money he was never going to beat a proper top heavyweight. Never.

Fury, Zhang and Parker are levels above Wilder. He's got footwork like a 7 year old carrying a sledgehammer. The only scar he got from Fury was mental, destroying his Ego.
Wilder was entertaining for his crazy 1 punch power. But let's be honest. His boxrec is one of the worst in history. He was protected by his manager and WBC and fought mostly unranked and 3 digit ranked fighters. That's a fact. It's also a fact he lost almost all rounds from Szpilka, Ortiz, Fury, Parker and Zhang. Wilder had potential to become a GOAT.
Imagine Wilder being trained and managed by Emanuel Steward. That would have been a totally different story, a tale of a legend, much different than why we remember Wilder today.

@@josephkunath4173 Ohh yes. Emanuel would have made Wilder into the monster everybody thought he was. Wilder had speed, power, heart and a god chin. But speed and power does not help if you telegraph it. That's why he won less rounds than he had KO's in his last 10 fights. But to be fair, winning rounds was never the "plan" he was just looking for an opportunity to throw the Bomb. I think he showed a lot of improvements against Parker. He could have been so much better and waay more dangerous, if he had a proper team around him.

He's one punch at a time, no jab to speak of except his arm extended doing I don't know what. The reason deontay 'one trick pony' wilder got as far as he did is because prior to fighting Fury for the first time, he'd only ever fought cab drivers, tomato cans and nobodies, and his big right hand (his only asset) got him through this. And the funny thing is he actually believed he was something special! The moment he fought halfway decent fighters like Parker, Fury and Zhang, he was utterly exposed for his complete lack of boxing skills. And he always will be which is why he really needs to retire. To fight at a higher level, you need more than just a big punch. As wilder found out.

I know and agree with everyone that says Wilder never really had superb ring IQ or even elite skill, but the dude had a shit ton of power and no one will ever take that away from him. He was a one trick pony, all some had to do was figure out either how to avoid a few power punches or take them and let him tire out
