I went to school here when I was a little girl. It was called Clarendon. The school moved to Malvern after a fire and a religious group took it over as a hotel a kind if retreat I believe. I have so many memories as so much was familiar. I wish I had been with you to be able to explore old memories. You passed through the main hall and into the two dining rooms, off which was the head mistresses lounge. There is a secret cupboard in the panelling Along the corridor from the main landing was a small door on the left which opened up onto the gallery above the main hall where 'Little Clarendon' were when the whole school assembled for a special service Further along the corridor bedrooms and a door up onto the roof, where at the end of the year we had a picnic consisting of a boiled egg (exciting to us because we were children and the strict regime of the Plymouth Bretherin The second wood stair case that you didn't show went up to bedrooms, bathrooms and a small community room This was the part for younger children "Little Clarendon" where I was. Around the corner there was a stone staircase leading up to and joining the landing of the main staircase. Below the stone staircase door to tunnels and entrance to kitchens. Along the corridor at the end a large community room where we dried our hair in front of a large fire. We were only allowed to wash our hair once ever two weeks. Everything was very strict as this was a Plymouth Brethren school The two stone lions one was called Leo the other David and we would sit on them whilst waiting for the bell for tea and a bun after school. The clock tower is where some of the school rooms were. So sad to see it in such a dilapidated state. The grounds are amazing, although you didn't go there. There was a gate house cottage at each of the entrances, still there but with roads running through and around. There is also a huge lake. Or it seemed large when I was small I remember watching a snake swallowing a poor frog. It was an interesting video to what a pity we did not see more of the wonderful building. From the courtyard by the schoolrooms to the right was an arch way to the badminton court and the gym. To the left of the courtyard under the arch on the right in the wall metal climbing hooks where we could get up into grounds and 'Monkey Village' following the road down it joined the main drive.
Jain Koffler thank you for sharing all this with us, it sounded amazing. I bet it was extremely emotional watching this video. My thoughts are with you. Much love from the uk 🇬🇧🤗
Wow what a beautiful place, so refreshing to see it not destroyed or graffitied by vandals, I really hope this stays the way it is, such a shame it’s left like that. I agree hope it gets saved
Cathy Ortiz It is a sprawling 122-room Victorian mansion nicknamed the “Welsh Versailles” . But while other historic homes are conserved for the pleasure of daytrippers, Kinmel Hall lies derelict and unloved - and is today named by the Victorian Society as one of Britain’s 10 most endangered buildings.
So excited to have found this channel and become a new subscriber! Awesome, awesome video....great work! Beautiful piece of history there! And omg, those tunnels. I think I would be scared as heck!
Beautiful place and I'm with you on saving it before it's too late. I wish we had history like that here in Australia that I can explore but I'll just have to make do with my piddly little explores that pale in comparison. I want that house
mkuebler5. I luv your explores! I wonder what that place was used for? I have the feeling it may have belonged to royalty at one point & maybe they just didn't want to keep the place up? If convert to a hotel, how would they keep up with the costs & fill all those bed rooms? To save the place maybe get the goverment on board & turn the place to a learning center, cultural center, help get homeless off the streets but they'd have to learn trades & would have limited times to stay.
Mansions are so damn fascinating! I explored one mansion in my hometown that was once a senior living center, and it was one hell of a place! Unfortunately the building was destroyed to make place for some condos. (Shrugs) at least I got a chance to explore like you guys do! 👍
Wow, that could be a whole city, apartments, grocery store, pharmacy, workout room, indoor swimming, a little gold mine for someone who had a lot of money to make it happen, that place is HUGE! Great video!
Cant believe they could build such expansive buildings back then . The artistry in the architecture .Then the thought of up keep..just getting the wood for every fireplace. They would need 100s of people to help out. unfathomable.Such waste ...now just rotting away .great look ,thanks.
Did you actually check every single bedroom?? It would get boring I suppose but I’d have to! I am sooo jealous of what you do, I love your videos and some of the rooms in that mansion are breathtaking. Keep up the good work 🙌😍
I only came across this channel two weeks ago and I’m addicted to watching your videos, ive literally seen most of them now and your content is unreal man, love it☺️ have you ever been any abandoned places in Stoke on Trent?!
Wounder if the clock tower once had all that stuff and over the years was replaced with newer technology. Certainly looks to be room enough for a larger mechanism.
Is there only one video of the massive place? Hopefully you can put together another video of this from scenes you didnt use. Great video though!! I would spend days there exploring.
wow that is a huge Adventure there that is very awesome place I enjoy your videos very much you're taking time and giving these Adventures to us I really appreciate that very much thank you and have a wonderful Adventure
When it was still a school, the local fire station used to practice in the cellars. If something is not done with it soon,it will end up like Gwrych Castle ,last time I went there was because someone had been stealing the lead off the roof, water was coming in above the stairs and all the way down to the ground floor.Such a shame
If nobody wants the place, I'll have it ....... People can claim ownership of abandoned building's , land ect .... But, it has to be done legally ..... obviously ! This building is yet another that need's saving before the thieves and vandal's get to it .....
Live literally 2 minutes away from here never knew the sheer size of it, I don't know much about the place but it used to be part of a massive army camp and stretched all the way to bodelwyddan castle
500 bedrooms...wow...my house is pretty good but 500?! Wow. Looks like a massive hotel. Great explore again. I love it. Thanks guys for what you have been doing to show us those amazing places. I'm still trying to find out if there is anything abandoned worth checking in Cambridge.
That last drone shot was epic, I just wish you could have gotten to the stairs on the roof and the little room on top. Love your videos Dan and a big shout out to everyone who has been on the channel. I have been watching Bucky since the beginning. You are my favorite European tour guides. Keep it up and thank you so much for the continued explorations.
Yet another historic find, such an amazing building in beautiful grounds, I could just imagine all you explorers living there one day, sharing all your travelling adventures to each other in that room with the large fire place and marble walls, thanks for sharing this with us guys, and please bring us more of these amazing finds, 👍🏻
Came across your channel and I love what you guys explore!! Did you guys notice at about 13:52 there are 2 really big orbs flying by the one guys head!
Absolutely beautiful even though its very run down and in desperate need of repair its still beautiful and the grounds and the views are stunning great video Dan love it! 😁👍
What a stunning Georgian House. I definitely don't think that it's the biggest house in the UK. If your interested the largest inhabited home in the UK is Wentworth Woodhouse, guests were given a basket of pettles so they could lay a trail from their bedroom to the main rooms of the house, just so they could find their way back! It's that big! Under the house there are miles of tunnels for the servants to get around. If the Palace Of Versailles was abandoned I would be so down to explore, as its ENORMOUS! and im fascinated by it and pretty much know a hell of a lot about it. Anyway, great video, would have enjoyed seeing more of the Grander rooms! :)
wow, amazing, would be great to have some background on the place, like when and who built it.......and those dungeons were very scary you could very well have got lost , great video
Love what you guys do for us .showing us all this while we look for clues chatting amongst eachother . also spreading this on social media see tobeoccupied on facebook !!
You guys are so lucky that you missed the guy with the bat! Apparently everyone else has been chased by this bat wielding guy off the property! Thank goodness I get to actually see this place🙂Thank you guys! Great find & explore👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I wish the place could be saved. Turn it into a cultural center, theater, help the homeless to study trades there & they would only have limited stays & would have to work helping to fix up the place or do grounds work. How could it be just a hotel? The up keep costs, hireing an army of a staff & having to pay them. You'd have to feed your guests. How would you get them to come?
Haven’t we just. It’s a shame that they’re left to decay though. Especially this one. It should be restored by the millitary as a museum or something. There are some old second world war bomb stores near me. Nothing special just brick rooms partially underground but they’re slowly decaying and getting over run by brambles. I think thats a shame.
That was amazing! Wish you had time to go through the whole castle! I lived this tour you took us on. Maybe you can go back and do a more thorough tour through this beautiful piece of art! LOVED IT! ❤❤
The entire time I’m watching I’m thinking to myself, I wonder who lived there and when was it built? I sure wish I could see pictures of the mansion in its “glory days.”

Cool awesome, the masks i like it
I had one of these for ages but security took it off me at a festival 😂

the workmanship in that place. Beautiful!!

That looks just like the place in the mini serious Getty . Wonder if it was ? Cool light mask!
I wonder what that place looked like 130 years ago.
The same, only not as abandoned.
UK as the best places to expolore ☺
