    Alessandro Carbonare, clarinet
    has been principal clarinet of the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia since 2003 and lives in Paris, where he was principal clarinet soloist in the Orchestre National de France for 15 years. He has held the same position with the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has been invited to the most important conservatories, including the Royal College of London, the Juilliard School in New York, the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique in Paris and the School of Arts in Tokyo. At the personal invitation of Claudio Abbado, he took on the role of first clarinet player in the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Mozart Orchestra, with whom he recorded the concerto K622 and won a Grammy Award in 2013. Alessandro Carbonare has been teaching at the Accademia Chigiana since 2011. He teaches advanced courses at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia and is also a professor of clarinet at the Chigiana Academy in Siena. His social commitment involves supporting projects that can contribute to improving society through music education. He has supported Claudio Abbado in the social project of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra and the children's orchestra of Venezuela. The CD "The Art of the Clarinet" for Decca was a great success and the satellite channel SKY-CLASSICA dedicated a portrait to him for the series "I Notevoli".
