      @Ladycooks 5 лет назад +39

      I have a problem with that. it's really difficult for women to break out of abusive situations. I'm sure it's difficult for men too. I won't go into details here, but victim blaming is just wrong in so many ways.

      @@Ladycooks I agree with you. It takes self esteem and confidence to leave a relationship. But abusers generally take this away slowly and progressively, and it's usually not recognized until the self esteem is gone. There are so many psychological games played. The abuser is guilty and responsible. The victim needs help. May Allah give us guidance.🙏

      @@Ladycooks I don't think he was victim blaming. To me it seemed more like he's trying to warn/advise you of the sufferings you and your children will keep facing and so that is why it's really important to find help somehow. Yes it's hard for victims of abuse to find help but it just seemed like a friend telling you that you need to get out for your own sake and your kids' sake.

    This is so so so serious. When the husband doesn't do what he must, the only result of that is an angry response from the wife. It is hard for the wife to be a source of peace and calm when the husband is not giving her her rights, and the opposite is true as well.

    • @HasanBasriy
      @HasanBasriy 5 лет назад +40

      Maybe that is why husband's obligations are mentioned first, because if a husband brings enough money no wife should be angry. 😉

      We are about to get divorced because my husband doesn't want to be responsible as a man of the house.he is pushing me to go to work and pay for everything and insults me and my parents and when I told him for the sake of Allah and the two kids we have together be a real man and treat me with respect and share responsibilities with me ,he just grabbed his own stuff and left so that he doesn't do his duty to care for his wife and kids.there is a saying :happy wife happy life.of the man takes care of his wife she will eventually be his Janna and happiness.

    • @aadhathuhamoodha8680
      @aadhathuhamoodha8680 5 лет назад +6

      Yeah... And how you show your anger has to be well thought... Like talking to him first for like a week... And if he keeps repeating it, the wife has the right to talk to her family about it and let them talk to him... And even if he doesn't give her her rights, she can go to the court ... And if he has no intention of giving her rights she can even ask for divorce but if she wants to live with him despite all that, thats her choice and all she can do as long as she is married to him is to give him advice..

    • @aadhathuhamoodha8680

      As you can see it is not that important to shout at or argue with the husband ... Islam gives all woman the right to get what they deserve... But in the right way ... And with patience...it's not wrong to get angry., But getting angry and not having any control or having arguments with the husband and even when an unexpected argument occur not stopping when you realise that it's going too far, that's what should not be done...

    Unfortunately i doubt there are any men in our “desi culture” who live by these explained principles. I happen to be married to one myself who inspite of being highly educated couldnt care less about being the provider, expecting me to work and pay for all my expenses. Naturally, who wants to stay in such marriages. And then the elders say that the institution of marriage is crumbling with our generation. I wish the mothers of the previous generation had taught their sons how to be real men, rather than concentrating on the daughters and raising them only to be ideal daughter in laws

      I hear you dear sister. The world at large need to raise better men. Most men just want slaves and are doing it in a little bit better way by marrying; but still with that marriage, they become so controlling, and demand the women to take care of them, bear children, raise the kids, clean the home, cook and on top of that be there for them whenever they need you! Who have time for that??? I have done most of the work I mentioned for my dear parents and I owed it to them and a whole lot more fpr I can never ever repay my parents! To conclude, I must say that there are some few good men out there but hard to find

Some women want to get into workplaces then complain their husband don't help at home. like wait, who said you should work and still depending on the husband to finance you? normally most women who work has in mind to balance the financial situation of the family. you get yourself into something islam never asked you to do, then complain about husbands lol!!!

    Allah has placed a huge responsibility on a man and if a man is following the command of Allah and fulfilling his dudies towards his wife then such a man deserves the highest of respect. He deserves to be taken well care of by a loving and supportive wife who knows his value
    Great lecture Br Nouman Ali Khan. May Allah continuously bless you in the great work you are doing. Ameen

    I have been taking care of our responsibilities for 8 years of marriage with 5 children. Subhanallah. I make 6 figures but it’s still a struggle, very little time at home. I want my wife to work as well so we can have double. I now see that I I’m wrong for that and it should be voluntary on her part. Inshallah I continue to pray 5 times a day and love my lord, I will make 200k and increase my good deeds.

    Assalam aleikum, brother Nouman,
    This is a khutbah that would transform my life forever. Being a human being, I have weaknesses, yet with Allah's mercy and wisdom that Quran endows on us, we can easily carry out our life with ease and happiness.
    I will definitely implement these valuable suggestions right from today onward. Alhamdulliah!
    In fact, the catchy title of the video got me hooked a few weeks ago, but as I had to depart for office, I saved the video in Nouman Ali Khan folder; today after watching this video, peace & harmony overwhelmed me entirely.
    May peace, blessing and mercy on Nouman Ali bhai.

    This lecture is so important. I've been traumatized by the way my father treated (and sometimes still treats) my mother for such a long time. He was working as a tradesman and doing very well, he gave a lot of money to his side of the family eventhough they really didn't need it, was abusive to us but really nice with his family, never bought a home or flat for us, never got us out of the joint household with his family even when he had the means to do it, threatened my mother when she suggested we move out and then he quit working and went back to an office job with a lousy pay and gambled it all, got in debt until his retirement. He didn't pay for any of our schooling (4 kids), nor elementary needs, my mother has been working a similar office job for decades and she has a really low salary and eventually had to go into debt as well, all the while he demanded her to obey him and keep her duties as a wife. I'm almost thirty, still struggling to put myself through a university education and sometimes I feel so hopeless, no matter what wage I'm getting (they're not enough in my country) I'm still not able to pay for Uni when you have rent and bills to pay and eat too. It affects so much of your life that even if I ever get married, I may bring some of my trauma with me and that's just the way it is.
