You might want to do two separate channels. The audience drives the algorithm, so if you’re trying to essentially run two different topics at once, it’s going to take RUclips a lot longer to figure out who will like your channel/content. For instance, if you end up attracting a lot of people who are interested in RUclips then your other videos are never going to take off. And vice versa. I totally get the urge to self reflect and reflect on the journey. I did a bit of it myself over the past year. But it ultimately wasn’t helpful for my channel to have 300 new subs who didn’t actually care about my main topic. It stunted my growth as a small creator. Obviously I’m not an expert. Take what you will from what I’ve said. But I hope it was at least a tad bit of help. I wish you well on your journey!
Thanks @milennialmeg for taking the time to share your experience and thoughts about the monetization videos. It’s definitely a good point. I had initially intended the RUclips videos to be a limited run for just the first couple months of video creation. But you’re right, and I think that the fact that my herbal videos are not doing as well and have slowed in their views might be reflecting the two different audiences. Thanks again for the reflection!
@ makes sense. I thought the RUclips monetization chat was really interesting, so I don’t think it’s a bad idea at all. Everybody has to go through their own journey to figure out what they like. I’m about to start year 2 and I want to pivot hard because I fell into a slump over the last couple of months. I look forward to seeing you reach your goals!
Are you starting a new channel? Share what you’re learning below 😊
Thanks for sharing it.+
It's great.
Rooting for you!! Small RUclipsr here as well.
Thank you! You too!
I’ll be following along. Soon be starting my own journey, just batch recording a load of episodes to take the pressure off!
Love that! Thanks for the follow and good luck starting out!
You're doing amazing! :D
Thanks so much Matt ✨✨✨
