This is an excellent video, and the detail of the colour photographs to show us in colour is superb! And when you consider these dancers were also doing their thing on Broadway, you can only imagine the talent on that stage besides the stars!
Love all these videos and and performers dancers music. What an era of great music and talent. ❤I could watch these all day amd never get bored. I was born in 1969 and always always always been so into the 1960s era.
@@Bobbybabybobbybubbie thanks for checking out the full series - not many have! David Winters choreographed most of the show, but certainly he asked Michael Bennett to do a few of the dances/sections in the first season in 1965. I know for sure that one of the dancers, Gene Castle, choreographed some of the numbers as well. You can see this quite a bit in the 4th video that shows some of the numbers from 1966.
Best performances are Sammy Davis Jr. Joe Tex, Beautiful Joey Heatherton, and that cute Italian Tom boy! Worst was Steve Lawrence... and in a later episode.. it's Michael landon..no rhythm, no juice. But everyone else was great 👍
John. David Winters appeared with Joey Heatherton and Michael Callan in an episode of TV's "The Breaking Point" entitled "I, the Dancer". He choreographed a number that they all danced in. There's a surviving photo of it (on the net) with all three doing a synchronized high kick in perfect symmetry. Do you know any way to get a copy of that TV show?
Bring it back so energetic and expressive
Featuring “A Chorus Line” Tony winners Donna Mackechnie and Michael Bennet.
David Winters choreography was genius!!!

David Winters was the greatest dancer and choreographer. He gave it all he had!
I lived for these dancers....They were everything to me!!!
Thanks! Please watch the first video in this series and comment if you can identify some of the dancers I missed, if you know their names.

I appreciate the color photos included here. They give us some idea of how these episodes looked in color.
These dancers were the real "Mod Squad"!
Oh, you know, just some dancer named Michael Bennett.
Check out "Hullabaloo Dancers 01"
@@johnganun6636 I watched your entire series! The dance was spectacular on that show. Did David Winter actually choreograph every single number?

Nothing to day can quite match this, even something on the level of Dua Lipa's latest tour.

The "tom boy" Rita Pavone song is actually featured in the 2021 Pixar film Luca.
