Still, I could guess each state periodically checks the judicial system, and probably other systems, to ensure people convicted of a crime are not practicing as lawyers in their jurisdictions. It could also be rightly assumed people who are judges, police officers, etc must report if they have any pending cases or else they could lose their jobs.

At this point it is likely she's not sure what to think herself.
      A "first time offender" 🤔
Wonder what THAT means under Georgia law ❓🙃
All she has to do is use whatever words whatever words corrupt court wants her to use. Including agreement that she will not contact other defendants or discuss situation with ANYONE other than prosecution she is doomed to a future worse than solitary confinement. She is & will be continually manipulated in order to doubt herself. The entire thing is absurd, soft torture.
The stress she feels is evident in mixed emotions displayed.
A direct target of CIA tactics. 😮
But the last laugh is on the fools that support this blackmailing and torture.
She could have spent years in prison is convicted. Terrifying to most on trial here. Where Donald Trump could not or would not save innocent in Jan 6th nor even Gen Flynn she wisely chose to "save herself. Her life, after all MUST be worth something.
What is first offender status mean in Georgia?
All she has to do is everything corrupt cabal demands of her for 5 years
If she (and others similarly situated) she can then say she is INNOCENT.
So you see all she has to do is let big fanni sit on her for 5 years.
Other defendants who plead guilty are at retirement age.
Either way I don't expect to live the 5 years silence required.
Anyone who cannot see the true EVIL can live with it. I have no children & wash my hands of this evil.
The US is not the Island it imagines itself to be. Much has happened since my Dad fought in WW2. Not much of it good.

I resent her appeal to her religion as her first part of her statement. Being Christian does not excuse her behavior, nor does it prove that her remorse is real. She got caught red-handed and is crying over that and nothing else.
Christians are promised forgiveness from God, which sorta suggests there are no real consequences. Just ask her fellow Christian and evangelical hero, Mr. DJTrump.

A sad day for the USA, a once well-educated country that has slipped into cognitive decline, where manbabies named Jim don't understand that when lawyers commit crimes with their clients that confidentiality goes out the window, and that has nothing to do with party

Smiled through the whole thing. She would not have done well in front of a jury for more than five minutes. That's how long it took me to realize she is a total huckster. While the facts that supported her guilty plea were being read, she chatted and laughed with her female lawyer. No respect for the court. And in her "tearfully" read statement, she blamed everyone but herself for her shameful actions.
