My weekends are incomplete without your vlogs. And Sarah, your excitement is very infectious. I got excited because of watching you get excited. I hope that you get all the jobs and then you get to choose where you want to go. Love from Pakistan.
Hard pants being a signal to the brain to do work is sooo real 😂. You were obvi having too much fun to even think about documentation, ending the Halloween Hosting with a bang! Love your yapping seshs, and good luck on apps!
Hello Sarah, first thank you for thoses inspiring videos, I have just discovered your channel, and I can't get enough, I am a second year PhD student, and I have just started teaching one week ago, can you do a video o vlog as tips and advice for beginners at teaching as PhD student etc I'll be so grateful, and thank you in advance, so muuuch love and support for you giiirl ❤
Do you ever experience imposter syndrome? If so, do you have any tips for how to deal with it? I feel like working in academia and teaching can foster imposter syndrome and mine has been so bad lately!
Omg only every single day 😅 I once heard that the only people who don’t experience it are the people who SHOULD be experiencing it and I’ve latched on to that-if I’m feeling like an impostor, I’m in good company ❤ It also helps to be honest about it with friends and mentors and let them hype me up! It was really hard when I first started teaching, but it does get a bit better with time
I am hoping to apply to and be accepted to a PhD program in English for next Fall! Any tips for first time applicants? I feel like I have been struggling here!
I have a couple videos that you might find useful, especially my video on writing personal statements! Check out my “grad school chats” playlist ❤ General advice: be specific! with what you want to study, who you want to work with, and why you and the grad school with mutually benefit from your enrollment!

I just got home from school. I am writing major too
The best major 💁♀️
7th year????
Girl, no wonder struggle has so many g’s 🙄
7 years is actually below the average length of time for combined MA/PhD’s in my field 😅
@ in that case… congratulations ❤️
