@@geefbird a basic setup and tutorial would be nice but also have the bot send a custom message to the chat after following or maybe playing a clip from the person who followed account if they stream would also be awesome I know twitch guru has a feature that plays clips after a shootout so maybe a way of integrating that feature into streamer bot for new followers or doing entirely through streamer bot and also thank you
@@koketsomokotsi1788 I actually really like this idea and have an action coded in C# that does play clips from other people’s channels when I shout them out… I could probably make it work with followers if I play around a bit. You might just see this video up pretty soon 😎

This was definitely a much more informative video than the first one. I was able to follow in this video step by step. I just hope everything turned out ok lol. I just wish there was a way to test it other than just hoping it works whenever I stream. Actually, I was wondering something. When you nest the scene in the source, is it supposed to be visible? Because when I setted it up, it's on the very top of the source list and its visible over everything. Or will it go away once I start the stream?
Thank you and I am glad it was helpful. To answer your question, no. Click the eye icon next to each source to turn them off and then when someone comes in a chats SB will turn them on then off again as needed. Also you can make sure that all works by going into SB and clicking the test button on each source visibility sub action for the welcome message. Really wish I had included that lol. Hope that helps! Hello!! Wonderful videos... Quick question, When I nest the welcome message into my full screen OBS Scene, it shows the words and the capture profile screen. How do I get it to only show when that action is triggered?
@@SunnyintheShade the visibility states for the text and image should be off, the nest should be on. Then when the action is triggered SB will turn them on and after 7 seconds turn them back off. If you set it all up the way it is in the video.
Thanks for the tutorial. I do have one problem/questuon. I setup everything as you shown and everythings works as it should except viewers can't hear the sound when they enter. I can hear the sounds but how do I get OBS to play the sound to stream?
@@Epicbrewis OBS doesn’t play the sounds, streamer.bot plays them straight from your system so if you can hear them and the viewers can’t that means you have your audio output in SB set to whatever your listening device is and not whatever theirs is. So just change that so you all can hear it and you’ll be good to go. I don’t know how you have your audio set up on your PC so I can’t tell you what it would be.

lol YES I AM! No I am kidding, thank you! Also, there is, you just go into the triggers box of the action and add a test trigger, then right click that trigger and click test and it will execute the action as if someone just triggered it.

@@TheZenChooch Think I have a video that would work for that, I have a video for follower shout outs, but you could change the trigger to a first words trigger and it would shout out anyone that chats for the first time when they join your stream.

As for the browser source, as long as you set up the StreamerBot stuff correctly it will assign info to the browser source automatically so you will not need to manually do anything with it in OBS. Once you have it set up you can disable the sub-action that tells it not to trigger if you are the chatter so you can type a message in chat to make sure it is working. Just right click on that sub-action and go to enabled and click it, just make sure to turn it back on once you are done 😊

@@TubButter Ok, sorry for the delay on this response I had some very important personal matters I needed to attend to and then fell asleep lol. The nested scene should always be visible, but the the sources in the nest should not. That is what all of the source visibility toggles are for in Streamer.Bot. When someone chats they activate all of those sources and then deactivate them 7 seconds later. Hope this helps!
Is there a way to control the sound file volume with this? One of my WalkOn sounds is coming across very tinny & I think it just needs to be turned down a bit, but I can't find how to do that.
I do not know of a way to control one specific sound's volume with this. As they are prompted using C# you would have to write in an expression to control volume through their but that would control every file's volume. The easiest way I could suggest would be to download Audacity, which is free, and adjust the volume of that audio file in there and then export it to the original location of the file. It is a very easy process and if you choose to do it I would be more than happy to walk you through it.
Would you happen to know how to set up a message you want to display with a timer? Say i put in my discord but i want it to appear after a certain number of words have been typed. How would i do that? I already have the message but not the timer.
Sorry for the delayed response, I can look into it. I know there are things built directly into streamer bot for it but I can’t remember exactly where they are. I’ll message again when I figure it out.
Okay, I figured it out. I am going to make a video on it because there are more parts to it than I imagined. But if you don't want to wait for that and feel confident in your abilities let me know and I might be able to fit it all in a comment. Not sure how easy to follow it would be though.

If i wanted to combine a gif with a short sound and have it be used as a command or a channel point? Then would that be possible? @@leoponce6252 just add the GIF into OBS as a media source, and in StreamerBot create an action with sub-actions that control that sources visibility and play a sound. Then set it to trigger however you like.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, but it will work...most times in the Nested Scene, but will not work in my gameplay scene and there is no sound. If you can help that would be great. Thank you. and BTW, great tutorials man, I'm learning a lot from you.
Which one isn't working? You said it works in the nested scene but not gameplay, but that would be the nested scene the main scene is just a scene. Sorry for my confusion with that. The welcome messages are the only ones in a scene and they don't have any sound, so are you saying that neither worked for you? I will be live on Twitch in a little while and for most of the day if you would like a visual one on one walk through just hop in and we can do that. Otherwise add a test trigger to both actions and see if they work when you test them. If it doesn't show and hide the sources in your Welcome Messages scene that isn't set up correctly. If it does but you can't see it in your gameplay scene when it is nested there right click the scene nest (inside of gameplay) and click transform and go to fit to screen. Then test again. Sometimes scaling breaks things. For the audio make sure you have Streamer.Bot's audio output set to the correct device and try again. OBS doesn't control the audio for that so it has to be an issue with either the device set in SB or the volume of the clip.

Turns out the string was from an older version of SB, I updated the string and now if you copy it and paste it into the import section of SB it will work. Sorry for the hiccup.
Make sure you have the nested scene in your main scenes always visible but the sources in the actual scene not visible. Streamer.bot toggles their visibility using the source visibilty states. If it is always showing they are not set to be invisible in OBS, and/or you don't have the source visibility toggles set up properly in Streamer.bot. Without being able to see what you have I can't give an exact fix.

i have a question, i want it that my subs get there own 10 second video when they do there own trigger. How can i do that? when the sub is over the trigger cant be use till they sub again? (does this question makes any sence) Is this a idea to make a video over?
The question almost makes sense lol. My question is do you want a trigger that only subs can use? Or an action that only subs can trigger? It sounds like you want a video that only subs can trigger, which you can totally do. Just create your action that controls the video starting, stopping and showing and hiding, and then have it triggered by a command. Set up the command so that only subscribers can use it. If you want I can absolutely make a tutorial on the subject 🙂

you can hide it and it still works that is what the show and hide sub actions in SB do, and you can test it by right clicking the First Words trigger and clicking Test. That will run a dummy account through and show everything. Hope that helps :)

24:40 to do that i use Downstream Keyer fo OBS that work really fine.
I still have to play with that plugin, I have but have never used it. Will probably change the way I do a lot of things.

What about an allow that would let 1 user type and hear the sound clip without having to reset First Words?
@@Sal214OC just create a command and give permission to only 1 user, then set that as a trigger for your sound or anything else.

how do I make it so the browser source is not always showing right now no matter what the sources are always showing even though the trigger is there
