Nice vid and I saw that ep of House of Mouse with the Haunted Mansion Ghosts, the Crypt the ghosts lock Pete in has the bride inside it (the old bride with the yellow glowing eyes, and black face and beating heart)
@TherealRNO I heard about that story of the errant guest trying to get to where Madame Leota is at only to fall to his doom. never knew about the photo though.
Wow! I love it! I grew up with disney as a child.I didn't get it when I was three...you know the ride. But last time I went, two years ago I actualy looked up when he said "You can go my way." -shudder- I screamed...and my dad to be funny, did not scream until everyone else had stopped. Actualy..he kinda did a short but loud."AHHH!" Everyone laughed. But anyway I love this movie keep up the good work!
@Humbledingify: Right. Too bad the Bleeding Heart Bride (Emily Gracey, as she's known by fans) has been replaced by the Black Widow Bride (Constance Hatchaway), even though Connie's voice actress actually retold one of the many stories involving Emily in a recording entitled Nuptial Doom, which leads me to believe--as does Emily's heartbeat still being heard in the ride soundtrack--that Emily and Constance are co-existing, despite Emily's physical presence no longer being felt.
Jacob: For the "Happy Haunts"...They're from the ride itself, the movie (starring Eddie Murphy), and the Halloween Spookstacular episode of "House of Mouse". The remaining ghoulies and such? From varying movies (Black Chouldren, Fantasia), classic Mickey Mouse shorts, etc.
I remember I used to be annoyed by this song. See, the first time I heard it was when I went on the Haunted Mansion ride, but it broke down partway through, so while we waited for the staff to come get us I had to hear it over & over. Still, it's not a bad song when you get right down to it.
ENDEAVOUR PROWSE it would be better if the person who created this had used the vincent price narration from phantom manor. A shame that the only way to hear it is online because it is not in french but english. One of the U.S. disney parks should use it. I also don't understand the dislike of the movie. Other then eddie murphy and the kids it was actually rather good. The plot was well written and cleverly done. It avoided the trouble of confusing plots by using a completely new one that actually has elements of phantom manor and haunted mansion.
@twotonedearly: That story is actually true, by the way. So too is the one about a errant guest climbing out of his Doom Buggy to visit Madame Leota, not realizing that there was no floor between the table where the Madame sat/floated & the Doom Buggy track, falling to his unevitable...well...doom. Plus, a family during one of those special dinner celebrations was rumored to place a picture of a departed relative--their mother, I believe--underneath one of the dining room's chairs.
Was this the first haunted mansion video ever posted on youtube because the posting date said October 9 2005 and 2005 was the year youtube was made so this has got to be it
Very well done! Where did the computer generated images in the beginning and end come from? I know this is quite old, but can it be uploaded at a better resolution now? It was somewhat blurry and so well done that it deserves to be seen more clearly. In any case, good job.
@JesusTickles777: Haunted MANSION. Calling it a house simplifies as being similar to those cheap Halloween houses made by local artisans when Disney clearly does them all one better. Disneyland Paris' Phantom Manor clearly proves it.
This song has a special place in my heart
I used to watch this video ALL the time when I was 11 or 12. I can't believe it's still here after all these years.
my favorite rides in disney world are this one, pirates of the caribbean, space splash and big thunder mountains then to top it off Expedition Everest
Disneyland's HM is rumored to be haunted too, they say a boy's ghost haunts near the exit cause his mother spread his ashes in the ride itself
Nice vid

Cool! I love the classic animation--brings back a lot of memories, as well as enjoyment of clips I have never seen.

Go to the Haunted mansion! It's Grrrrrrrrrrrreat!
This is so well made I thought it was some sort of Halloween video from Disney Channel the first time I saw it here.
From the ride & from the "House of Mouse" short that was dedicated to the ghosts of Disney.
Very nice video! Great tribute to the Mansion!
HOW can it be that I've never SEEN THIS??? =0 WONERful job!
Heh. The mansion hall looks like Spencer Manor from Resident Evil. Heh.
Great stuff!

You are accordingly invited to the historic Gracey Manor.

I would love to live there.

Thurl Ravenscroft: Ghostly good work.
Gus, Phineas, and the third Hitch-hiker: Can we please accompany you home?

Awesome Haunted Mansion tribute.
The cartoon versions of the ghosts are from the Halloween tribute to the ghosts of Disney on an episode of "House of Mouse".
Dood, this was friggin' great! I wan't to download it!
The previous comment I made and that answers your question, and plus, the HM movie also added in the Hitch-hiking Ghosts clip.
Wow another Spooky Video so scary Brilliant

Denton: No. I don't. All I know is that it was the Halloween Spookstacular tribute to all of Disney's ghosts.
Where can you get an mp3 version of this song?
