I bought your trading book and video pack and I found it useful but I must say this video really resonates with me. It's where I KNOW I am lacking, and it's held me back in learning trading, and lots of other areas of my life. Namely focus, and sacrificing other things (like time, socialising, procrastination) for a specific goal. I need to go through everything again and really dedicate more time to what I want to achieve. I think this works in all areas of life, as you said, not just trading. You get out in relation to what you put in. Everyone want's an easy ride and to find that cash cow. It just doesn't exist, anything worth having is only forged through sheer hard work, determination and commitment. I think there's little to nothing where this is more obvious than in trading.

Excellent content. Time management.:Time has always been more valueable than money. Get a successful mentor who knows you are serious.
Learn humbleness and patience, keep a journal for your journey.
Review every trade .The good, the bad and the ugly.....always.
The very top people have learned that emotions need to be tamed.
Top traders have worked out their own personal jigsaw, and just continue to polish their performance.
It's only a game......How good does anyone really want to be?Your own mind will decide your fate

@@CaanBerryProTrader Time has always been more valuable than money.
Money is a form of account in the game of life, Time is and will always be priceless
A great football trading metaphor that sums up Time.
The match can be your lifetime....First half fewer GOALS?...Halftime Middle Age Time to reflect and reset Focus....You realise that usually you can look forward to more GOALS BEING SCORED in the Second Half.....not a given....Then Time Decay kicks in and the graph accelerates to full time with the added bonus of precious injury time...Trade out early for a guaranteed profit and/ or driplay for a late goal
Some good news....IF YOU HAVE PLANNED WELL,Excellent Diet,Moderate exercise, critical thinking, all the simple things in life......You could qualify for another 30 minutes extra time and penalty kicks to round things off.The choice is yours.
Caan live a long and productive life.
Thankyou for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.

Sound advice. Too many people try trading thinking they're going to make easy money, including me. What I have realised is that trading is like any profession, you have to serve a kind of apprenticeship. You will make mistakes,if you don't learn from them, then you'll fail. I've been trading for just over a year now. Not doing too badly, but I'm not expecting to go full time for another 3-4 years, I know I have loads yet to learn. Thanks for all the info you put out, Caan, you continue to be very helpful.

im not really a true trader but the most important thing you have said is that people should specialise in an area that appeals to them and if you know a bit more than the average backer/layer you will have a profitable edge, i only bet/lay/trade in older horses 5f+6f handicap races and i can analyse most sprints to find an edge, sometimes a bet, sometimes a lay sometimes back 2 lay or vice versa if im sure a horse will move up or down in price but as youve also said, every race is different so be prepared to change your angle of attack

Great video Caan. I have personally struggled with focus and tend to jump from 1 idea to the other even though I know this is counter productive. Great work mate. Watching heaps of you videos This gives me motivation to focus on the one task.

We all need to take this advice generally in our live tbh. I have pared back my life, possessions, emotional vampires and distractions..I have become happier, more focused and more productive due to it.

I took the advice in the above video , bought and read a couple of books and have been developing a plan, found some useful information. Today was the second time I watched this video and i discovered something else, I didn't hear the first time. I also watched the Video on Australian racing and think I may be getting up at 4 am until lock down is over to see if i want to get involved. Thank You Caan and yes please to more I'll watch everything you can record.:-)

“The Debater” (ENTP-T) Analyst ,Social Engagement, Rob from facebook. Good video, time management and focusing on productive areas is essential. What I'm struggling with right now is getting my head around being comfortable betting larger amounts than I'm used to. I want to increase the bank roll and push up the stakes with my own money because the slow progressive grind to increase stakes only with winnings as I've been doing is now I think below my level of experience.

I have just come across you Caan and I am inspired by your way of thinking . I have only used exchange markets to lay bets for promotions from bookies. I've lost most of these accounts now so I'm very interested in learning this format of market trading. Can you point me in the right direction for learning from the beginning please

Hi Caan great video again. Honestly I think I am doing everything wrong. Spent 3 months on training mode and started to do well in the last month. Then started with real money and have already lost a 1/3 of my bank. I know this is common when you start with real money. I am interested however in what you said about learning about the markets. You said to Google to learn about them. Can you give a link to where to start. Thank you for all your insight as well.
