  • 6 ex-Mississippi officers sentenced in state court for ‘GOON SQUAD’ TORTURE of 2 Black men
    Rankin County Circuit Judge Steve Ratcliff sentencing six former Mississippi law enforcement officers who pleaded guilty to a long list of state and federal charges for torturing two Black men. The six white former Mississippi law enforcement officers who attacked Michael Corey Jenkins and Eddie Terrell Parker in January 2023 have already been sentenced to federal prison terms ranging from about 10 to 40 years.

      Thank you RonWade and I am so happy that you have had a positive experience with a Black person. Everyone should be able to live in this world without fear, as we are all more similar than dissimilar. I feel sorry for these officers and wonder how they could have such hatred in their hearts. I truly hope one day they will find peace within themselves.

How often do you see this many policemen get charged and sentenced in the deep south especially in Mississippi!!!!!!!!! It's not full justice for these men who were absolutely tortured but it's something and those men can't hurt anyone. I wouldn't want to be them in jail as you never know in the big house.

    • @voiceofjeff
      @voiceofjeff Месяц назад

      It's not really parole. For example: Their fifteen year sentence and five year sentence runs at the same time, like on top of each other; as opposed to consecutive time, where after the 15 yr sentence is done, the five year sentence begins.
      And if they get 15 years of federal time on top of what they got here, the max amount of time they'll serve is fifteen years! It's a total sham!

    So this sentencing came after the Federal sentencing. Federal sentencing: Dedmon 40 years, McAlpin 27 years, Elward 20 years, Opdyke and Middleton 17.5 years each and Hartfield 10 years. In federal prison it's a mandatory 85% time of a sentence.

    Cus, at some point WE the People say NO! this time we treat you and your children like YOU officers Treated that man and his family. that's Removing 300 years of OFFICER INJUSTICE! That's making a change in the NOW to affect the future. Part of The Job Description is accepting the injustice done to Black Americans at the hands or Racist Police Officers and Command from Mayors Down. Now Act differently. Now OFFICERS, ASK the Question again, How Would You Officers Like to Treat the People NOW ?

    Drug sales are prevalent in bad areas of Atlanta. An ex-Atlanta cop told me they rode around at night and as a group, jumped out of a van, and beat up dealers on street corners. No arrest or anything. Just for instant justice. Looking at the ex-cop's face and tone, I don't dismiss anything he says.
