  • Native American singer songwriter Bill Miller performs Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah after telling a story about hanging out with Jeff Buckley and then explaining the lyric about King David. Bill is a three-time Grammy award winner and really is an underappreciated American treasure. Check out his website at www.billmillerarts.com and if you ever have the opportunity to see him perform live, take it!

He really does!!! I worked his CD table at a concert in Plymouth Meeting Pennsylvania years ago. He was so grateful. He thanked me, gave me an autographed CD and a hug! Such an awesome memory!

You're welcome! It's an honor to see Bill perform- it's more than just a concert. It feels like he's really sharing his life and experiences. That's a rare thing.

I love your music. You played for my Auntie Linda Riddle in Wisconsin at the arts center. You blessed my cousins and our family. I took all of this in, being half Cherokee. Ii would love for you to send healing, blessings to myself and our family. We've been struggling this past year terribly. Anything you could do, would be much appreciated. Thank you Billy Miller for opening my spiritual side.
    Thank you again,
    Mary Adams.
    Linda's niece.

Watching the audience reminds me of how German people would listen to music no matter how sweeping. They kind of do it with their eyes while sitting stock-still. Nothing that unbroken children would ever be capable of doing. We will once again see free children before too long ... Hold out, all ye good people out there :))

Hey, Bill, Leonard Cohen mixed the stories of King David and Samson. Regardless of that, I love this song. No one could sing it like Jeff Buckley... no one.

Classic Bill Miller: takes him 5 minutes of talking to get to the song in a 9-minute clip.

The great tragedy of that situation is Uriah did not have to die. Every woman by the law of land belonged to the king. Uriah may not have liked it perhaps but as loyal as he was he would have accepted it.
