Gradient of a Curve/Acceleration from a velocity time graphs starts at 17:45 Correction: at 2:20 I should have written the width as 3 which would make the area 4x3=12 😬 Whoops!
Haha once you know those methods it’s very frustrating! But also much easier to estimate than trying to find the equation of the curve when we’ve not been given it in order to differentiate! 😁🙏🏼
ACP Checkout this playlist - ruclips.net/p/PLqxP5EuGxPne0lfiYpR75ByTOmVn8zC8Y i’ll be updating it with more papers soon but until the first paper has been done it’s impossible to ‘predict’ topics but I will be doing some ‘best guess’ papers. Be very wary of anyone claiming they have a ‘predicted paper’ as they shouldn’t exist, i’ve seen predicted papers whereby not a single topic actually appeared on the GCSE in the past!
Y N It’s grade 8-9 theoretically! A topic itself shouldn’t really be graded, but the mathematics behind it allows us to broadly categorise topics in terms of their complexity. Doesn’t mean it will appear at the end of a paper though.

Loll hello spot on.very much so
Omg we were just going through this in our lesson last week and i was so confused so thank you for uploading this😁
J P Perfect timing at its best then! Glad it’s helpful 😁🙏🏼
To Allah is the return. Save yourself from the fire by turning to him before Day of Judgement
This explains so much to me compared to other videos on internet
So glad to hear that 😁🙏🏼
This video was a total lifesaver thank you. you are so underrated u only have 27k you deserve so much nore
Another great lesson!
So helpful, thank you for uploading this!
Glad you liked it! 😁🙏🏼
Thank you so much sir, this really helps, appreciate your time.

Your vids are always helpful and clear to understand 👍
You explained it wayyyy better than Mr jones
Can we get a face reveal
Thank you for a clear and easy to understand concept. What software are you using to write so clearly and easily.
Thank you
This is gonna get be from 7 to 8. Maybe even 9!
3:00 thanks for the video, it was very well explained, but shouldn't it be 12m
plz do bearings and vectors(the weird ratio midpoint ones on the exam)
Gemma Khan Both Vector videos here: ruclips.net/p/PLqxP5EuGxPnemH0-L-9DGWg_jI2KvL24Q and bearings are coming soon 😁🙏🏼
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor Thanks and sir have you forgotten about the loci and construction vids
Gemma Khan haha not at all.. I just have a very long to-do list! 😂
Yesssss 👍👍👍👍👍👍
i wish they would just give you the equation so you can just do differentiation for gradient, and integration for the area under the curve
Haha once you know those methods it’s very frustrating! But also much easier to estimate than trying to find the equation of the curve when we’ve not been given it in order to differentiate! 😁🙏🏼
You have a legendary site I just wish you could do Topical questions
Thanks! Do you mean the website? That’s currently under development so keep an eye out 😁🙏🏼
well that was fast, thanks
ATORAT Gaming No problem! 😁🙏🏼
Can u do a video on volume of a frustum
sym I shall do! In the mean time I have gone through a question on this video: ruclips.net/video/RMJCOl6qtUA/видео.html at 26.42 😁🙏🏼
The GCSE Maths Tutor thanks alot🙌🏻
I've been struggling with this
Could you make a video on the predicted topics for the 2020 edexcel gcse higher papers please?

@@TheGCSEMathsTutor thanks for the advice, i'm revising for my maths gcse from your vids so i appreciate the hard work! aiming for a grade 9 btw
ACP Great stuff!! Make sure you check out the grade 7-9 and grade 9 playlists then as I’ll be updating those regularly 😁🙏🏼
@@ac9174 how do you revise for maths
Good work sir 👏
i got 87 for 13:55 . Is there a range of answers we could get and if there is what usually is the range for such questions?
Absolutely!! It depends on how hard it is to find the exact heights, there is usually an allowed range of a few m either side 😁🙏🏼
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor you need 10billion subs ngl
THANK YOUUUUU
No problem at all 😁🙏🏼
thank you
Amazing content keep helping young lives :D
i have like 9 topics from paper 1 so i’m gonna learn most of them and then do past papers pur
At 2:59 I don't understand why its 5 ,the distance between 5-3=3
thanks these videos help a lot :)
Good video sir good job well done nice work!!
Question, at 23:30 why is it ms^-2 and not ms^2 ?
it's the same as m/s^2, the difference is you're not writing the division
For question 2 why didnt you divide and times the other ones, I'm confused
23:33 why is it minus for the power , pls answer ASAP cause my mock is tmr
In its most basic explanation… This is just the unit for acceleration 😁🙏🏼 You could also write m/s^2
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor thanks so much,
God bless u x
sir at 3:02 you put the width of the rectangle as 5?
Whoops good spot! It’s pinned in the comments now 😁🙏🏽
thank youu🙏🏾
Can you also integrate for these questions?
Absolutely! But we use this method at GCSE level, these questions specifically ask you to find the area using strips under the graphs 😁🙏🏼
19:25 'rubbish little ruler' why was that so condescending 😭💀
In non-calculator can you leave acceleration as a fraction
Absolutely 😁🙏🏼
Cant we substitute the vales given into the s=d/t and work v out like that?
gradient is change in y / change in x, speed is the y axis and distance is the x axis, so you'd be doing the same thing.
21:17
are these questions, calculator or non-calculator?
Both
for questions like at 17:35 is it okay to solve it by taking the area of the whole three shapes 1+2+3 as a trapezium?? however, I got the same answer.
Yes you absolutely can. And in this case I would actually recommend you do to avoid mistakes
would area under a curve come up in non calc?
No reason why not!
it's on the advanced information so it probably will come up
Is there a channel you do for A levels? This is the only thing saving me from failing lol
Yes it’s in my playlists! You can find them here: ruclips.net/p/PLqxP5EuGxPnduRX2OW6es1KsxP4g-kLcs
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor Thanks so much, because of you I got grade 9 (a*) in GCSES
@@simranbhogal9355 thats really good! any tips?
Sir how do you get better at drawing tangents?
a ruler
Hi! Foe the question at 23:35 why are the units m/s to the negative power of 2? Why is it negative?
I'll explain...
Did you find out? I’m wondering too
this is an old question but it's just another way of writing m/s² as ms^-2, they represent the same idea.
What grade is this?
Y N It’s grade 8-9 theoretically! A topic itself shouldn’t really be graded, but the mathematics behind it allows us to broadly categorise topics in terms of their complexity. Doesn’t mean it will appear at the end of a paper though.
The GCSE Maths Tutor
Ok thanks 🙏🏼
You made a mistake at 3:05 the length of the rectangle is 3
Y is it ms to the -2
Same thing as m/s
In 2:53 the correct answer for the lenght should be 3 i think u made a mistake
An u not just do Y2-Y1/x2-x1
