I think it's fair to say the 2019 film Joker surprised all of us with a great story and a gritty retro look that everyone instantly loved. It's definitely going to be great awards season with the Oscars just around the corner.

I can't imagine how many hours it must have taken to color grade that whole movie. So glad it got the recognition it deserved! Thanks for the tutorial!
Most of the look was done in production. The only thing done in the “color grade” was kodak 2393 emulation and a few tweaks here and there

its just the mind that tells you you´re too old! And grading is a very stational job ;D

Extremely inspiring! Thanks for the video and showing 3 different software programs. I use Premiere, but really need to switch to Resolve. It seemed like the Resolve version came the closest to the reference.
Resolve definitely has the most powerful color tools of the 3!
