I started my Sonia G journey last year. I love them. My favorite is the base one. I love it for my foundations 💜🤗
I find it's hard to stop once you start. She has many great shapes!

Hi Ruth! We are doing well. It's been a learning curve and the first 10-12 days were pretty difficult. I had a c section and didn't want to research much into what recovery was going to be like so my expectations vs reality was totally misaligned. I see bub's looks change every day. Time flies like every says!
Did you pick up Sonia G's Keyaki Set 2? I know that is still available and her first set took some time before it sold out. I think like you alluded to, some people really enjoy the smaller handles and others prefer the full lengths.
@@MichiMakesUp A couple of my friends had C sections and yes, recovery was slow and painful. Hope you have lots of support…I was fortunate to spend the 1st week with my best friend when she got home from the hospital and spend lots of time with her newborn. I’m sure your little one is beautiful.

Kate, I feel the same way about brushes. It takes me a while to do these longer comparison videos so I really want to use them for a while before I say get into it. I am doing well. Thank you for asking! Babe has been home for a few weeks and we are still settling into a schedule and taking it a day at a time.

Hi Michi welcome back! I hope your feeling and doing ok you look well rested. You know how much I love these brushes actually they are probably the only brushes I picked up this year. My Sonia G collection has grown a lot and I cannot be more happy about that. I love the eye brushes the blender pro is my favorite and I love the mini booster the classic crease and the builder pro. I love the blush brush from Lotus collection. I actually missed them so much bc I did not travel with the i am afraid of loosing them but now I can enjoy them again. I hope you have a great weekend ahead.
Hi Julia! It is a pleasure to see your Sonia G. collection grow and to see you talk about them on your channel. They continue to be brushes that I think you get a lot of value out of. Her brushes and Rephr's too though I really enjoy my Koyudo brushes as well. All of your fav eye brushes are mine as well. They are just trusted tools for building all kinds of eye looks. Hi Michi. I've only just started investing in quality brushes in the last year or so at 55. I first bought Rephr & BK beauty but since finding your channel I have now purchased 3 Sonia G sets. The fusion, the lotus & the keyaki set. Oh & the buffer pro for my powder foundation I absolutely love them. I have been getting some lovely shadow looks. I had never used a brush for liquid foundation before finding the face brushes in those sets. They blend so flawlessly. I'm looking at trying more fude brands now haha. Thank-you for sharing your knowledge.😘
Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing that with me! I am so so happy to hear you find the reviews helpful! It keeps me going with content creation. Her Sky Eye set was the first I picked up and it was a game changer for me. I never gave it much thought about how placing shadow can be easier and faster with better brushes until I used hers. A world's difference. I now hardly ever go back to my old brushes before fude. I find them to be scratchy (some are natural hair) or doesn't pick up enough product for good placement. I'd love to hear more about your brush and makeup journey!

Welcome Back Michi! So nice to see you film again and what a helpful video! Hope you are enjoying Mom life and babe - and getting rest! I love SoniaG’s dedication to brushes and have a few of hers - the Hinoki set and the Smooth Buffer are my favorites. I normally mix two (or more) cheek products (applied with Rephr 4) and then buff buff buff and I love it! Your tips on how to use various brushes will definitely expand my use of others. (BTW, YT is doing that irritating random unsubscribe thing - luckily I noticed and resubscribed to your channel but folks may want to check)
Hi Christina! So happy to have posted this. I am still recovering and trying to recuperate enough energy to put up more content. Surgery recovery was something I didn't think too much about, but it has occupied so much of my time managing pain and learning how care for myself and baby.
Love love love the Hinoki set and Smooth Buffer. Both of which I want to get a backup of. I also like playing around at times and applying multiple cheek products. Good to hear you use the Rephr 4 for buffing! I like them a lot too. Thank you for letting me know about the unsubscribe bug. That is so annoying. I wonder why sometimes my sub count would go up and down by 5-6 at a time. Seems random too.
@@MichiMakesUp Ah … surgery recovery is no joke! I had an emergency csection with my son (over 40 years ago, adopted baby two) and my daughter has had two - one hyper emergency, second scheduled. It really is hard and you have to be kind to yourself and rest as much as possible with a new baby. It’s a lot - and at times overwhelming as well as joyful. Lots of emotions and hormones and all. I would not have managed content too! LOL!
The subscriber thing is weird but I know Allison Chase has mentioned it so I check my favorite creators like you just to be safe. She mentions it every few posts which helps I think.
Now that I’m writing a novel - grin - did you see Suqqu has a new winter collection coming? I’m going to pre-order early to get the liner that goes with it. And speaking of liners - I was able to get the green nuance - I’ll ping you on IG about that.

There is no denying SG brushes are great from all accounts….I don’t have any. You have a versatile collection. I order my brushes from CD Japan and my collection is mainly Chikuhodo and Hokuhodo and Rae Morris ( pre her change to 100% synthetic ). I’ve sometimes thought to order some SG but looking at my collection I question how many more brushes do I need. 😀 I’ll save your video for future reference if I decide to buy some SG. So how are you going Michi? Your bambino must be getting close to their birth day. Just in case something happens before you post again, I wish you all the very best for the birth. I delivered lil bub a few weeks ago and it's been a steeper than I realize curve to recovery. I had a c-section. Since then, we've been settling in and I'm learning how to care for him. Every other day, I try to make a video, but by late afternoon I'm spent. I think I just haven't recovered my strength yet. Thank you for asking!

To answer your question, I largely only have Rae Morris’s natural hair brushes which she sold up until about 6 years ago before she converted to synthetic brushes. I did buy a synthetic foundation brush which is fine and one synthetic eye brush. I don’t love the eye brush and frankly wouldn’t buy any more of them. Take good care of yourself and enjoy baby boy. 💙😀Deb

Hey Alyna! I hear you. Sometimes the differences can be subtle and hard to describe well. I have been meaning to do a cross brand for some time! I'll have to focus on 3-4 shapes to start, because of all the possible comparisons.

What’s the difference between Fusion and Pro series ? I know nothing about makeup and I would like to buy one set for my wife.
Leo, the fusion series are designed for using on liquid and cream products. The pro series is made up of undyed and dyed goat hairs excel at powder products. Fusion series is made up of both synthetic fibers and goat hairs allowing it to be really effective with liquid and creams.
