  • In this episode I begin the process of building my budget resto mod 90's Diamondback Ascent. This should be a reasonably straightforward process as the guys at Around Again Cycles helped me source the right parts to fit the modern suspension to the retro frame. I'm very excited to have this bike built and finally be able to ride it! Lets get into it!

Thank you so much for your support! Very happy to hear that you're enjoying this series! Good to know that even the high quality tools have their downside, we are using the tools we have at hand and making it work. 😊 Thank you for taking the time to comment!

Yes, it hopefully will be pretty great on trail. To be honest though, the bikes biggest disadvantage is me riding it! 😅

@@TheBadIdeaBros just lean back and let her go hahaha. I took my rigid mtb from the 80s out today, actually felt so sketchy even just going through greens and one blue. 26" feels so agile but scary when you're used to 29!

Haha, that sounds like a lot of fun! But yes, the 26" bikes are definitely more nimble than the 29 or 27.5 bikes and take so.e getting used to. 😅 But man the old bikes are fun!
