As much or as little as you need for your requirements. The water draws up through the middle when boiling. I've made 1, cup, 2 cups, 4 cups. Works well
@@Icutmetal plenty of people lol. It even says it in some instruction manuals. The larger the percolator, of course the more water you are going to need in order to reach the grounds. Larger ones like ones used for camping need at least 5 cups of water. Tiny little household ones will use much less.
Ok that's what I need, coffee filters. I purchased an old school stove top coffee percolator like this and I was getting coffee grinds in my coffee cup.
Some information on how much water and coffee would be great to understand using this.
Enough water to touch the grounds

It is suggested to not make less than 5 cups. 5 cups of water, 1 tablespoon of grounds per cup of water.
@@ThisSouthernGirlCanSuggested by who? First I’ve ever heard that suggestion.

Fantastic! Thank you for making it short and to the point!
This just might be the most unhelpful video on RUclips!!
Exactly. Everybody should just skip to 0:31 for the best part of the video 🤷

Thank you for this video. After viewing, I feel stupid for having to see a video on it! 🤣
Is the filter necessary
Qué tipo de filtro lleva esa cafetera lamía es igual pero a la suya le bi un fitrico blanco q es.saludos desde Cuba.
I thought this was a HowToBasic video at first judging by the music.
Real talk. I do that every time and I get coffee grounds in my coffee. I don’t know what I am doing wrong… maybe I need more course coffee?
Use a tea strainer when pouring. Nothing to throw away like paper filters
Is the coffee filter required or is it there just for easy clean up?
no, it is not required if you are not using a very fine ground coffee. Most people agree medium ground is the best.
But how long do you percolate it for? How do you know when it's ready?
Watch the colour of the coffee in the glass knob
Very cool. Where do you buy the white paper filter with hole.
Also any discount code to get some discout on these percolators?
I just use a tea strainer when pouring. Nothing to throw away
thansk for not telling us how to use this
The top clear part on mine fell out somewhere. Will it still work without it?
It will spurt out and create a mess.
You can buy replacements. They are pretty standard between brands but just double check compatibility. Recommend a glass one, not plastic
Screw it’s back on
@@3idimensions21 it’s lost dumbass. What’s there to screw back on?
Well, that sucked.
Thank you
Wow that was useless thanks
