I’m 65 years old now and grew up in Omaha Nebraska. I watched the Baron on TV. He was my favorite with The Claw! Only about a month ago did I learn he was from Omaha and played football at Nebraska! lol. Great memories.
Thanks for having The Baron on. Your podcast is one of the best. Love when the old achool rasslers are on the show. I remember The Baron from back in the AWA era with Dick the Bruiser and The Crusher.
Cool!! Baron is legit! I grew up watching Atlanta Georgia wrestling! I remember watching the Baron, Marc Lewin, Austin Idol. Also remember when the Road Warriors made their debut... and when the Baron turned face and fought the Road Warriors...
My Dad also use to enjoy watching Pro Wrestling. He use to say, "Wrestling is the only true sport." :) Ahhh thanks Baron for the Memories added to a wonderful childhood. God bless.
I SAW THE BARON at a convenience store in Prior Lake one morning in 1990 on my way to work... He was coming out with a newspaper and a cup of coffee, and I thought, wait a minute, and when he got in his car I thought YEAH IT'S HIM and I blipped my horn, he looks over all scary like, and I mouth BARON VON RASCHKE and he SCOWLS and puts up the Claw and I do two thumbs up and he laughs, waves and drives off...
I REMEMBER that,, "AND THAT IS ALL, you need to know", sort of a little Not-See kinda thing although The Baron was more of a Kaiser type German than a Hitler type German...
I was born in 81 so I was late to the party but I remember the Baron being my 1st favorite wrestler. (I always hated Hogan and the faces and loved the heels lol) My 1st actual memory in wrestling is seeing his claw be blurred out and thinking this is how you know he is really to tough for those good guys lol
“das ist richtig”. Remember the Baron well from his mid Atlantic days. Didn’t know how good he was as an athlete in college. Honestly, he looked kind of stiff in his moves back then. I remember he and Tim Woods had an amateur style match one time on tv
Happy Birthday Gerry. How your face lit up when the Baron sang you happy birthday, you're still that little smiling kid from Oklahoma, following big brother Jack around 🤠

Great to see the Baron! Old School Rules!
The Baron is my all time favorite Pro Wrestler! I have a autographed photo of him proudly displayed at work
Grew up in AWA country. What a pleasure it was to watch Jims work and see his character come full circle from hated heel to being adored by all.
Happy birthday my friend

Wish i could find the movie to buy

What a cool old dude. Humble butt kicker.
Jimmy Raschke from Nebrasky as he says . I had no idea that The Baron was a champion shooter .
Still pissed about Calvin 😂

That is right in Baron speak. I’m guessing the Baron didnt know a lot of German but he sure sounded the part
I would have liked to have seen that . Tim Woods was pretty skillful

That’s all you need to know 🖐🏻
JBL looks like he was just in a match from noticing his forehead, or maybe his wife smacked him.
Whats up guys????
