Both of you are very helpful to us midlife synthesists, so to speak. What has made RUclips great for the last decade is the simple sharing of information out amongst each other. Akai X7000 is a gem - if in good condition. Do I use it daily? No. But if not the 12-bit sampling does the sound, then the 6-pole analog filters! i dont agree that vintage is over priced... vintage will only get older and more valuable...better get some now before its unattainable. I got a N.O.S. Octave CAT srm2 never Used...how can one resist
Things will certainly keep rising wont they... To me, its a hard sell for a lot of vintage stuff at market price, when modern synths are more capable on paper for much less, without the fear of breaking down. But there is something special about them, even if it is all psychological.
@@JorbLovesGear haha, again i disagree. its certainly not psychological... nothing psychological about the raw huge sound of my vintage Aelita. i used to be the guy that said most synths are great. they each have their own sound. thats why i have about 30 or so synths. for example, i have a behringer D and sadly i will either sell it or never use it again. i recently picked up an Altair 231 a 3 osc monosynth with all the same parameters. the Altair makes the Behringer D sound like absolute garbage. the behringer is lacking some sort of almost organic property. i used to have a real 303 and tried to fill the void with the behringer td3........ ITS NOT THE SAME!!!HAHAHA everyone should have at least 1 vintage synth. even vintage digital synths sound better than new ones. i really wanted that Vector synth. looks so sick with that big display and as i watched more and more vids on it i realized every sound sounded thin and weak. idk man blah blah blah....anyway i just found you today and i love your vids
FUN FACT the d50 reminds you of dos era sierra games because you actually fucking could hook an actual mt-32 (basically a d50 without a keyboard) and they actually had a deal with roland to write the fucking soundtrack to be played on it via midi
@@JorbLovesGear word probably I love these lil module beeing the tracker nut that I am you'd probably enjoy the little jam I did with my mt-32 and the orca sequencer, it might inspire you a bit if you're messing with thoses modules
Bought my JX-3P with the PG200 programmer new in 1983. Still have it. Works perfect. Couldn’t afford the Jupiter 8. The JX-3P had a sequencer while the Jupiter and Juno had the arpeggio.
Where are you located? I’m in Chicago area and doing basically the same type of thing. Dx-7 for $200 (battery needed replacement), etc. recently got ms2000 for $300 and a Jx-8p for $400. Had to drive through a terrible snowstorm for that one.
Tough one! The MK2 sounds on the reface are more shrill than my MK2, but that could be my amp too. MK 1 rhodes sounds closer. The sounds are there, and are good, no question. And you win SO much in convenience, that its tough to compare. It takes 2 people to move a rhodes on stage, and I can life the CP with one hand. Plus, controlling or sequencing it with midi is extremely handy, not to mention built in effects, etc etc. So really : The sounds are there, and theyre good.
I really need to start buying used more often and work up the courage to sell gear online. (I've never sold any) ... The only time I've bought used was a mint Machinedrum UW+ a few years ago for $1500 on Reverb, and an A4 for $600 .. The MD is going for up to 3k now so .. yay. But I dread the idea of selling such a pricey piece of gear and something going wrong in the process.
Makes me miss my old SH-101. I got it new fire $199 in 1985 because, like most Roland gear, it flopped when it came out. I've got a room full of gear and haven't paid more than $500 for any of it. Nothing better than funding a crazy deal, huh?
This video should be titled 'buy used synths on Reverb, Ebay, or anywhere you can'. I like 'Jorb', seems like a good, everyday dude who's unafraid to purchase synths that aren't over-hyped and so sought after. I'm a fan of that because ANY synth can make music in the right hands. notes from the bleachers: The vintage 60/106's are eventual cost nightmares (it's when not if with these I'm sorry to say. Old Moogs and ARPs hold up better). Getting a cheap Bword Deepmind12 does actually make more sense today. Speaking of (the new) Bword: in comparing the two, Behringer's ODY is not only a better build than Korg's offering but offers more features for less $ (and same sound and functionality). Same definitely goes for Korg's ridiculous limited ARP 2600 repro (anyone paying that much for it deserves to be parted from their $). I could also still easily sleep at night if all Nord and new YawnMaha reface synths fell off the earth (but I'm in the minority there I know. Just can't seem to muster any interest in giving Clavia or the new Yammy my $ for garbage products). BTW Jorb, the SixTrak is (imho) the sleeper synth in your list here (the others are electric pianos). * Also, please consider a better (sounding) mixer than the older Behringer UFX and like. Sometimes things really are 'that bad' and not in the good way. One can find a great deal on an old A&H, or Soundcraft for example.
It is pretty special. I would love a midi kit on one, or maybe one of the functionality mods, but it does sound excellent. Deepmind Polysix patches coming soon, stick around!
I def. am on board with the buying used and broken approach. Keylab49 with keybed issues, Akai LPD8 with a busted USB port, QS8.1 that won't power up for $50... But much as I love hardware, I think I'm at my limit, especially given how absurdly capable free and lowcost software synth plugins are. Although.... that Deepmind is a TERRIBLE temptation... a better Juno for the new millenium than Roland's putting out :)
I hit a rich pre-ebay vein in the nineties. Mono/Poly £80, Poly-800 £35, EX-800 £30, SH-2 £50, SH-09 £30, CZ-3000 £30, RZ-1 free, FB-01 £20, DX27 £40. I blew £700 on a new A4000 though.
Have a Korg Wavestation EX so the Wavestate or ModWave do not seem greatly needed, not sure about OpSix. Also have a Deepmind 12 which I absolutely love for the price, and I looked, rather wanted, the UFX 1604 with the 16 track out to a external drive, along with all its features. But never owned a Moog, love deep dark bass & much of what I have seen even in a Sub37 and think Subsequent has the CV in's, updated from the Sub37 Tribute, and much more, also have a Sweetwater card so Zero financing on that $1399 offer for (B-Stock) any comments. Deal or No Deal? TY
The irony for me personally is I bought the Korg sample 2 to sample! I love the stock sounds so much I haven’t touched it. I do not like the MPC workflow period, so most of my sequencing is on my ancient Qy100 (16 tracks stereo 32 mono) and my key step pro. So I use my brand new M 2 IPad for sampling on Koala and Blease Sampler. I love your videos Jorb! I hope mine can compare a little bit! Peace, don’t forget on the Rhodes having the back for it! I do not. I had one in the early eighties and had to get rid of it. I’m an idiot! Lol
Never knew there was a mixer sending that many channels over USB! That's killer! If I told you a friend of mine just got an Odyssey and an Omni 2 for $100 on craigslist (for both) you probably wouldn't believe me. Needed repair but he just had them both done up. I am ver r r r y jealous. The AX-60 is super cool - just got my AX80 back from repair. Love the teeth of that Poly Six Sounds! Thanks for this in-depth share!
nice video, can u tell me a good synth plus bass synth to make soviet post punk music similar to molchat doma ! like vinyl sound acoustic but with new twist!?
I sold it! Hard for me to justify ~1000$ for what I got out of it. I wanted to sequence hardware with, but couldn't get it to feel the way I wanted, input with a midi keyboard, unquantized etc. But I do miss having that pad grid for plugging in drum sequences, it was the perfect interface for that.
After buying a used DeepMind 12 irecently discovered your channel and find very informative and entertaining. I had the Realistic synthesizer back in the 80 when I didn't know what Moog was and loved it and it just stopped working and I trashed it.... Yesh not smart in retrospect but when I see them for sale today for rediqulous money despite the nostalgia I know value for money I can find same and more sound options at much better price.
I had a digitakt for a bit, and loved the drum programming aspect, but it couldn't handle all my midi sequencing needs. And I couldn't justify 650$ for something that was doing half the job my MPC couldn handle already
I added MIDI to my CASIO SK-1, now it's one of my favourite synths. I had a MoPho for 2 days before I traded it away. I really liked the look of the instrument but that was about it./
I'm thinking about buying my first hardware synthesizer and my plan is to aquire enough gear that when my daughter starts collage I can sell everything off and put a nice chunk down on it.. I was thinking about moog since they hold their value so well.. and also I'm not a take things and fix it type of guy...do you think this is honestly a bad idea?
had a yamaha psr keyboard with that same jack problem. I wanted to get an omnichord to connect with other gear until I saw the current price. Then i heard what they originally sold for and was left with a bad taste in my mouth. taking piano lessons instead. overall, i guess thats positive.
I sure could! I want to do an overview / walkthrough with the JX3P soon, and maybe after that I will do a roland comparison...maybe I'll get an 8P as well!
I totally relate (except for the selling/flipping part) I have: CZ-101 I bought new as a teenager Alpha Juno 2 I bought new as a teenager. I've done some work on it but the aftertouch is still no good. I gave my neph/niece my grandfather's SK-101. I'm sure they don't appreciate it and I hope to get it back someday. Nord Lead 2X I bought locally Craigslist $575 or so. Still learning it, current favorite. Moog Rogue I bought locally when a friend was moving away. "You have to buy this from me." "Ok." $700 New gear: Model:Cycles Zen Delay Erica DB-01 Eventide Blackhole Korg NTS1. I gave the neeps each one of those and we had fun putting them together. I may end up with a 3 voice NTS3 soonish see above. I'm selling: pro live sound gear.
Hello! Out of curiousity, how did you learned to solder? I have seen a lot of used gears fail on me and it would be great to hear your story on how you learned to solder and some advice on where to begin in learning soldering! Great video by the way, I keep on coming back and rewatch it!
I’ve got my eye on a re-201 space echo for 150. Functioning reverb, likely broken tape heads. I’d likely have pay someone to repair it if it’s intricate at all. Worth it if I’ve got a timeline and big sky on my pedalboard already.
Opsix has turned into one of my favorite synths. Bass station 2, opsix, deepmind 12d are staying forever. Mopho module is good and probably staying. Rest likely sell off stuff
The OPsix was on sale on sweetwater and Reverb for $349 a few weeks back A few sellers on ebay even dropped it for that much but i didn't get the chance to grab one 😢 Cool video man but this did not help my GAS lol
I know this isn't vital information but the thumnail for this, glanced at while its small before its been selected, you do look a bit like Tim the Enchanter. Think its the mic looking like a white streak in a beard. Also very interesting video, top work
Hi Jorb. Do I need the new Roland JX 08 or will the Deepmind cover the JX and more saving me £349. Appreciate your advice. I have £349 - £400 to spend on some new gear if the JX 08 isn’t required. So where would you invest? Thank you Jorb.
I think they serve *slightly* different roles. A lot of the public perception of the JX8p (i think) comes from the presets being really classic 80s stuff, and the almost glossy chorus sound. If you need to have *that thing* then the jx08 will deliver. But I really think deepmind can get close with some careful patching. And if you would get more out of something totally different, a sequencer, or a drum machine, or whatever, then that makes more sense to me.
Thanks for the guided tour! My gear is currently all "living" in a PDF document I made, because I'm trying to move house and everything is packed up. It's kind of both nice and depressing to page through the document, looking at all the instruments. I can't wait to get a studio set up again! Quick tip about the OpSix - I recommend the in depth videos on the Oscillator Sink channel. That guy taught me so much I didn't know. It really is a very capable synth. I'd quite like to get the modwave as well, but they're out of stock everywhere at the moment...
Isn't that the worst, all the gear in boxes? lol He's a wonderful resource, I have enjoyed sitting and chatting in a few of his deepmind livestreams. Talented sound designer! FM feels like a calculus problem sometimes, i don't quite know enough for the way I like to experiment.
@@JorbLovesGear Thanks for the reply. I know what you mean about FM, it twists my brain too! I get the basics, but things like operator feedback baffle me. It seems very unclear how to know what that will actually sound like in advance...
@macronencer I know the feeling. I too have a list of my whole studio on pdf and all my equipment is in boxes between a storage and my apartment. I'm waiting to move at the end of the year into a house in Florida. Yet I still am buying while I still live in the northeast. One day soon we'll have our studios all set up. Lol.
I'm always wonder....how can you drop $2-3000 a month on new gear? Are you independently wealthy? I buy from zZounds cuz I can finance out payments. I have a couple things I am wanting next, a Soundcraft 12 multi track mixer and a Roland looper unit. If I won the lottery I'd spend a shitload on gear. I have no talent whatsoever, but I like playing with stuff.
I sell other things! I have this sort of rolling, spinning average of profit on other things that keeps propelling me forward. I am lucky enough to have been consistently employed for years though, which doesn't hurt!
Ahh so did get the OPsix! I remember you were really eyeing it. Welp now I need some FM content! Also don’t beat up your key skills to much man! Coming from a pianist, you are better than you think, but you don’t have some, let’s say, unorthodox fingers for your chords.
The nordlayed one has a more cutting edge sound than the 2 the signal is less processed that's processed and therefore more or app to be Processed with Outboard gear Are just drivers
I've a 54, and I still play all my gigs with it. But sure, its a pain in the ass to move ti each time. The sound worths it. You're so lucky to have bought it so cheap (even with repair)
man i feel so much pain watching this video, i'm sick of my midi keyboard, i'm sick of doing everyting on a screen, i'm just a synth lover, passionate musician but above all a student without any money who could never afford such magnficient synth like these, why is it so expensive 😩😩😩 the universe, i'm speaking to u, if you hear me, giv me da money so i can do da funk properly
First off, make whatever you have work for you thats the bottom line. And my collection is excessive, to be clear! But learning to fix stuff is really what made it possible, if I wasn't handy with a soldering iron I wouldn't be here. No way could I bought these in good shape.
jorb come kick it in manhattan ks, make a video with whatever eurorack stuff i have you want to lets collab on a track, win win all around i work in film as a composer by the way, award winner here
I also have the MPC1000 which is the brain/sequencer of the whole hardware setup. I have the Six-Trak and the X7000, I got them in a three week period time window. I really like to pair the Six Trak with the MPC and a BCR2000, that way I can control (bcr) and record (mpc) every parameter for each individual voice. It has quirky midi setups but the CC implementation is very straightforward, it is the first poly synth that had midi! I think the Elektron Analog Keys got a lot of its queues from it. And about the X7000, don't be so hard on it. It is one of the (less than a dozen) samplers - from all existing brands- that has a variable clock for each voice, along with the s612, s900, s700 & s950. It has a nice analog lowpass filter that just works. The keys are super easy to replace and are shared by a lot of keyboards, look for an article called "How to Replace and Repair Dead Keys on a Vintage Synthesizer Using K32U Keys". As stock it comes with only 6 slots for sounds which makes it nice to sample drum hits, loops and sequence from the MPC. Mine came really beat up and with a dead QD, I paid 300, when I opened it, I saw the RAM expansion installed! I already restored it and will replace the QD with an emulator from Sampler Zone. It will live in the other room where the vinyl records are, alongside an Akai S20 and an Electrix EQ Killer. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Once upon a time, about 10 years ago, I got an Akai AX60 for approx. $250. Twice. I sold my Akai AX60 for approx. $350. Twice. I'm kicking my own ass now. Forever.
As a beginner who is looking for low budget gear for a minimalist setup, I found a Korg monologue for about 150$! Have you ever played it? Love the content

Got my Roland SynthPlus HS80 (Juno Alpha 2)for $25! Of course it needed refurbed but now it’s a hidden gem!
I didn't realize they had a different version of the Alpha 2! Very cool, I'll have to look for those now.
@@JorbLovesGear Yeah they did a couple home versions. They don’t come up often but they are out there. HS-10, HS-60, HS-80
Really solid don’t know I’m patient enough for all the searching an fixing
Really jealous tho
i dont agree that vintage is over priced... vintage will only get older and more valuable...better get some now before its unattainable.
ITS NOT THE SAME!!!HAHAHA
everyone should have at least 1 vintage synth. even vintage digital synths sound better than new ones. i really wanted that Vector synth. looks so sick with that big display and as i watched more and more vids on it i realized every sound sounded thin and weak. idk man blah blah blah....anyway i just found you today and i love your vids
FUN FACT the d50 reminds you of dos era sierra games because you actually fucking could hook an actual mt-32 (basically a d50 without a keyboard) and they actually had a deal with roland to write the fucking soundtrack to be played on it via midi
You'd probably enjoy my sk88 video if you haven't seen it, for composing in that era
Love hearing that, I's really exciting to me that these were ever contemporary products.
Glad you've kept it!
Where are you located? I’m in Chicago area and doing basically the same type of thing. Dx-7 for $200 (battery needed replacement), etc. recently got ms2000 for $300 and a Jx-8p for $400. Had to drive through a terrible snowstorm for that one.
Iowa! Relatively low volume locally, honestly.
Jealous of the Chicago area speed of Craigslist. Lol
Same here in Chicago I resonate with that so much because I can't even list all the times I've found things in places I could not believe.
Pawn shops are great……..
I work fully digital and I watched this till the end. Very entertaining bro
Nice to hear that! Sometimes it is nice to look on the other side of the fence, isnt it? lol
I've never seen your channel and I enjoyed this. I have the same "problem" you have but its a bit worse. :| Peace!
I bit better you mean? Lol, welcome
@@JorbLovesGear This inspires me to do content of my own in this realm. I wish I wasn't so lazy. Are you on Facebook? Can we be friends?
Since you're an owner of both a Rhodes (multiple) and Wurlitzer, how would you compare the sounds from the Reface CP to the originals?
Don't sell the Polysix! That filter is magic.
Definitely not yet! I might look into midi kits...
Nothing feels quite like it...lol!
This video should be titled 'buy used synths on Reverb, Ebay, or anywhere you can'.
I like 'Jorb', seems like a good, everyday dude who's unafraid to purchase synths that aren't over-hyped and so sought after. I'm a fan of that because ANY synth can make music in the right hands.
notes from the bleachers:
The vintage 60/106's are eventual cost nightmares (it's when not if with these I'm sorry to say.
One can find a great deal on an old A&H, or Soundcraft for example.
they polysix is on my dream to have synth.
It is pretty special.
I would love a midi kit on one, or maybe one of the functionality mods, but it does sound excellent.
Deepmind Polysix patches coming soon, stick around!
hey man do you have preset patch files for deepmind 12?
Yup! Copied the Juno, JX3P, and PolySix Presets. You can find them all on my gumroad: app.gumroad.com/jorb
I def. am on board with the buying used and broken approach.
I have a MPC 1000, Yamaha CP and a Nord Lead 2 and a older Behringer mixer, first time seeing your channel
Welcome! Nice to hear that, that I'm not the only one who finds all these things together to be quite useful.
TY
Just found this channel and i am now a “converted” viewer
Cheers, and welcome !
Jorb I just bought the Behringer xenyx x2442 USB can I record each track individually?
Please help synth daddy.
@@iancain6647 I don't think so, just the ufx ones.
But stereo over usb works!
@@JorbLovesGear yeah they're terribly misrepresented this way, and the ufx1604 ones are next to impossible to find. Thanks for your reply!
AWESOME VID. I also have an Omnichord, am a gear buyer/fixer/flipper, and I got a mint SK-1 IOB last week for 20 bucks!
Keep the vids comin!
Cheers, thank you! Always more in the pipe
Looking forward to the deepmind pack for the polysix
Just wrapping up now, actually! Will record & release between today & tomorrow
Binging the jorbs and lo and behold discovered some opsix content! And dire dire docks!? Damn. Fingers still crossed for that walkthrough. #jorbsix
WOW what an Arp deal. AX80 is one of my bucket list synths, for sure.
Happy to share! Lots to say. lol
nice video, can u tell me a good synth plus bass synth to make soviet post punk music similar to molchat doma ! like vinyl sound acoustic but with new twist!?
What app do you find your gear? I know you mentioned Facebook Market place and eBay. Do you mind sharing the other apps? Great video!
You made one video with a Deluge, did you get rid of it, and if so why?
Don't you have any Elektron gears?!
I had a digitakt for a bit, and loved the drum programming aspect, but it couldn't handle all my midi sequencing needs.
And I couldn't justify 650$ for something that was doing half the job my MPC couldn handle already
For Juno inspired sounds, would you recommend the Deepmind 12 or Nymphes and a arturia key step?
Sorry you probably get this question all the time
I added MIDI to my CASIO SK-1, now it's one of my favourite synths. I had a MoPho for 2 days before I traded it away. I really liked the look of the instrument but that was about it./
I have a Reface CS, can I use a midi controller with it ? The keys are kinda tiny even though the sounds are PREMIER 😁😁
I'm thinking about buying my first hardware synthesizer and my plan is to aquire enough gear that when my daughter starts collage I can sell everything off and put a nice chunk down on it.. I was thinking about moog since they hold their value so well.. and also I'm not a take things and fix it type of guy...do you think this is honestly a bad idea?
haha the inside of your car looks way too clean to be at Bonnaroo
lmao, we broke the mold
had a yamaha psr keyboard with that same jack problem. I wanted to get an omnichord to connect with other gear until I saw the current price. Then i heard what they originally sold for and was left with a bad taste in my mouth. taking piano lessons instead. overall, i guess thats positive.
You have a Juno 106 and a JX3P… shootout?
I sure could! I want to do an overview / walkthrough with the JX3P soon, and maybe after that I will do a roland comparison...maybe I'll get an 8P as well!
I totally relate (except for the selling/flipping part) I have:
CZ-101 I bought new as a teenager
Alpha Juno 2 I bought new as a teenager.
"You have to buy this from me." "Ok." $700
New gear:
Model:Cycles
Zen Delay
Erica DB-01
Eventide Blackhole
Korg NTS1. I gave the neeps each one of those and we had fun putting them together. I may end up with a 3 voice NTS3 soonish see above.
I'm selling: pro live sound gear.
I just stumbled on this video and I love your energy and attitude for synths!
Cheers thank you!
I try and not pre-plan on a way that takes my personality out of it. Feels best for me that way
Hello! Out of curiousity, how did you learned to solder? I have seen a lot of used gears fail on me and it would be great to hear your story on how you learned to solder and some advice on where to begin in learning soldering! Great video by the way, I keep on coming back and rewatch it!
you read my mind, "use the vallhalla delay". Great video btw, thank you for posting.
Cheers, thank you!
I’ve got my eye on a re-201 space echo for 150. Functioning reverb, likely broken tape heads. I’d likely have pay someone to repair it if it’s intricate at all. Worth it if I’ve got a timeline and big sky on my pedalboard already.
Soursound did a wonderful job for me, highly recommended.
Opsix has turned into one of my favorite synths. Bass station 2, opsix, deepmind 12d are staying forever. Mopho module is good and probably staying. Rest likely sell off stuff
The OPsix was on sale on sweetwater and Reverb for $349 a few weeks back
A few sellers on ebay even dropped it for that much but i didn't get the chance to grab one 😢
Cool video man but this did not help my GAS lol
I love how you taped on "Behringer Swing" over they keystep lol
I should take it off so arturia might send me gear. LOL
@@JorbLovesGear Or you could leave it on, and Behringer will just send you the same thing with their logo on it ;)
I was looking for comments on this. Was wondering if that was a tacit recommendation, haha.
I sold my SH101 for £70, which is what I paid for it way back when....Then the prices went up and up.
A different time!
The prices are insanely over-priced now, but 70 quid was probably always a good deal.
Synth daddy!
😂🙏🙏
Isn't that the worst, all the gear in boxes? lol
He's a wonderful resource, I have enjoyed sitting and chatting in a few of his deepmind livestreams.
Lol.
How do you get item history this old out of ebay?
Emails!
Cheers! A pretty well targeted compliment lol.
Dang just got up to the Polysix! Really unique sound and at that price, woah.
Very very lucky, came up right while I getting interested in them.
And, hardly any work to do!
Kind of want to know the shampoo you use
LOL aussie moist
The nordlayed one has a more cutting edge sound than the 2 the signal is less processed that's processed and therefore more or app to be Processed with Outboard gear Are just drivers
Long time synth user here Jorb. Out of all, the Poly six grabbed my attention the most. Great gear great stuff and great video. Thanks
Polysix is getting its own highlight eventually, need to find a good angle
My sister loved the Omichord I gave her for her birthday and just relit her love for music again!
I've a 54, and I still play all my gigs with it. But sure, its a pain in the ass to move ti each time. The sound worths it. You're so lucky to have bought it so cheap (even with repair)
My MPC 60 is the center of my synth world. Bravo on the 1000
Love hearing that, the OG is still relevant. I thought I was classic with the 1000!
man i feel so much pain watching this video, i'm sick of my midi keyboard, i'm sick of doing everyting on a screen, i'm just a synth lover, passionate musician but above all a student without any money who could never afford such magnficient synth like these, why is it so expensive 😩😩😩 the universe, i'm speaking to u, if you hear me, giv me da money so i can do da funk properly
First off, make whatever you have work for you thats the bottom line.
And my collection is excessive, to be clear! But learning to fix stuff is really what made it possible, if I wasn't handy with a soldering iron I wouldn't be here. No way could I bought these in good shape.
jorb come kick it in manhattan ks, make a video with whatever eurorack stuff i have you want to
lets collab on a track, win win all around
i work in film as a composer by the way, award winner here
I also have the MPC1000 which is the brain/sequencer of the whole hardware setup.
My brain is the RettoKits RK-008. Its like the old alesis midi programmer.
Once upon a time, about 10 years ago,
I got an Akai AX60 for approx. $250. Twice.
I sold my Akai AX60 for approx. $350. Twice.
I'm kicking my own ass now. Forever.
Why didn't you keep one and sell one?
Behringer Swing, good one ;)
Dude you rock.
Ahh, cheers, doing what i can! lol
As a beginner who is looking for low budget gear for a minimalist setup, I found a Korg monologue for about 150$! Have you ever played it?
Love the content
I love the minilogue, but they have held price way better than the monologue.
Both are excellent, great places to lesrn
