    At 3:40 -- You CAN tilt the snare toward you: install the “L-shaped support” onto the snare drum tube at approximately a 95 degree angle and swing out the snare support tube toward the Hi-hat support bar, then tilt to snare toward you on the L-shaped support.

      Just wanna ask guys if is it good to mod sounds like when I wanna play electronic songs like doing a cover of Interpol songs?

      Like when I wanna accurately copy the sound of a song even if it is really electronic one or rare sounding kits.

    I ordered one the other day, I took drum lessons back in the day as a teen for about 5-6 years, my dad plays in a band and is a drummer so I picked it up he sent me for lessons to learn to read/write there was always a set at the house for me to practice, once I moved out obviously I couldn’t have a real set in an apartment, well I turned 30 on the 14th and said fk it, I’m buying an electric set and dusting off the sticks and getting back into it.
    Rant over thank you

      Sounds very similar to me! I had lessons in my teens for about 3 years, had an acoustic kit at my parents house. Stopped playing but now I’m nearly 30 I’m wanting to get back into it but now live in an apartment so needs to be electric. Can I ask how you are you getting on with electric vs your memories of acoustic?

      @@TomJamesmtb definitely a different feel, but to be able to play in my apartment and not bother anyone I’ll take it

    Mine came in last night (from Amazon) took about an hour+ to set up. First impression was WOW, for my use, the sounds are awesome, it looks great, packaged very well, and its ready to use. The high Hat pedal does not seem to be working but it is most likely user error on my part.
    I needed a good sounding drum kit that I could plug in the board and jam record/rehearse with my old band friends. It needed to be easy to use, fit in a tight space, be very affordable, sound like a decent drum kit, and sturdy enough to last a while. This kit nailed it with plenty of elbow room left.
    The cost (from Amazon), to my front door was 412.00 , a huge bang for the buck. This video is a very accurate representation of my experience with this kit as well.

      I am glad the DED-200 fits your needs. This also tells me you have never played a high-end e-kit or possibly an accustic kit. Lower-end low-budget e-kits such as the DED-200 are a good first e-kit to kearn the basics on. For recording or playing with bandmates this is really not a good e-kit. The sounds many as you, think they are good, and yes they are better than other budget friendly e-kits but nothing like a high-end e-kit or an accustic drum kit as high-end e-kits have professional recordings of great studio accustic kits. Another problem with using lower-end e-kits for band practice is they do not have the dynamic range or playability of a higher-end e-kit and they just sound off as apposed to the rest of the band. Yet another problem with lower-end e-kits is since they do not sound, feel, or function like a high-end e-kit you miss out on a lot of drumming skills and techniques as lower-end e-kits just can not do them. Lastly with lower-end e-kits you usually will learn certain drumming skills and techniques wrong as they will not work if you try to play them correctly. This means if you take your skills and what you learned on a lower-end e-kit and try to apply that on an accustic drum kit or a high-end e-kit you will find there will be a relearning curve as they perform better and much differently than the lower-end e-kit you learned on. If you want to learn guitar do you first start with a toy of a guitar? Then if you really want to learn drums and be good at it why start with a toy of a drum set?

    I play ALOT of jazz type music, but can't find any demos showing if the snare can simulate brushes instead of drum sticks. Is there a voice for brushes effect?

    • @revivedfears
      @revivedfears Год назад +1

      I'd be interested if these cheapo kits can handle brushes too. If you're still looking for a *relatively* cheap kit that can be played with brushes, the roland td07 seems to manage it. I'd imagine the same would go for the td02 too.

      Very late but I have this… what exactly is a snare brush? There is a jazz setting

    • @Iamadrummer
      @Iamadrummer 6 месяцев назад +2

      If you play a lot of jazz as I do this e-kit, as well as all lower-end low-budget e-kits, do not have the correct sound or dynamics for jazz. Also, for good jazz playing, you need a good dynamic 3 zone ride cymbal. It is very worth saving up for a high-end e-kit as it will have the dynamics, awesome 3 zone cymbals, very dynamic snare and toms, and the sounds will be that of professional recordings of great accustic kits. Sadly, with any e-kit playing with brushes does not work well, and most e-kit modules do not have a kit that sounds like brushes, and the ones that do it is primarily the snare that will sound like brush hits and the rest of the e-kit will sound like stick hits.

      I know it's an old question, but for those still wondering it had a major digital module upgrade, the last one did half as many sounds and didn't sound as good.

      Simmons makes great drum amps as I have one, just avoid their e-kits as they are no better than the DED-200.

    • @jakesgr8sakiorjoe58
      @jakesgr8sakiorjoe58 Месяц назад +1

      I assume you figured it out by now but for anyone else with the same question there is an additional plug in the back of the module for an extra cymbal. It plugs in with a 1/4” instead of how everything else plugs in with the big “computer plug thing” that goes to the rest for the kit. 😂 Idk what to call that plug.

  • @dylanjoseph0
    @dylanjoseph0 10 месяцев назад

    is it durable? thanks

    • @Iamadrummer
      @Iamadrummer 6 месяцев назад

      Lower-end low-budget e-kits are generally not very durable in order to cut down on the price. The cymbals are usually the first to break. The racks on lower-end e-kits are usually all plastic and flimsy and they will generally wobble a lot. The snare arm on Lower-end e-kits will eventually begin to bend and sag and the only fix for this is to use a real snare stand like on higher-end e-kits.
