I read her book and was so inspired. Truly amazing work she does and continues to do. ❤ we need more people like her in this world 🌍 💕
I discovered this dynamic young woman while watching The View and was blown away. Not only beautiful outside, but inside. But, most of all, she overcame a childhood of abuse to become a major player in fashion design. Love her theme of diversity and empowerment while designing for all. Thanks for posting.
I saw her on The Fashion Fund! She definitely was impressive. I loved her collection
Interesting.... Wonderful how she found hope and had answered prayers
Only united a lot of us sharing the same ambitions we can make the difference, she becomes a huge inspiration for so much people, a true champion of the world indeed, bravo congrats & hundred years more, bringing social justice where is needed the most
Definitely need this story with all the war and genocide going on in the world. One day our grandkids will ask us why we allowed our civilization to crumble and what will our answer be I wonder
Indeed, the answer will be war and genocide. Which is why brands like hers and The Little Market are great, they make local impact in 3rd world economies, making them hopefully more robust to the devastating results of war and genocide. We should all hope to drive our consumerism through compassion, over capitalism and status (often the driving forces behind war and genocide).
This was so inspirational! Big up to my fellow Jamaican.
Dopeness...
TRUE GEM!
Sharing wisdom is not relegated to the older generation!
She’s gorgeous… so happy for her. God is good
Love her!
Awesome! ❤
Love her clogs!❤️
Bring the shoes to the Dominican Republic 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Does she support and work with African American artisans? Appears she looks for cheaper alternatives and outsources. Does 15% of Nordstrom’s clientele represent African Americans or are they just virtue signaling? This was a huge BS marketing campaign. Bravo.
never mind that she stole the original design which is a traditional South African heritage design. she is just a glorified marketing executive. this is like a chef going to Oaxaca and "bringing back mole". I guess she feels like everything in Africa is "hers" or something.
She works with artisans all over the world and provides them with a full salary. Her company uses the traditional materials in the respective native countries. African Americans are the largest consumers in this country so it makes sense for corporations to include them in the process. Also you don’t have to be black to shop from a black owned brand. Just like you don’t have to be white to shop from a white owned brand. Very ignorant comment and spreading false information and negativity.
@@figgettit she works directly with the artisans and makes that well known. She just slightly altered the original design as a creative director does but gives full credit to its origins. She is supporting so many artisans all over the world. So much hate for someone making such a good impact.
Babysitting 😂
My goodness all James is talking about is quotas. In America we've always had quotas for employment. It's now moved to designers.
YAWN… Who cares… YAWN…
Hmm let’s see. At least 4000 ppl who watched this within two hours and the ppl commenting, including you. Lol
