Playscore 2 Review (Best Notation App In 2023?)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 июл 2024
- We review Playscore 2, a music notation app that promises to understand all the symbols of standard music notation, and can play all kinds of sheet music and scores.
Impressively, it also recognizes SATB vocal scores, chamber music as well as piano music and songs. It can even be used in your DAW as a MIDI transcribing tool.
But does the app hold up to its promises? We find out!

Thank you Noah for this glowing review and demo! :)
Amazing presentation! Thanks a lot!
Wow. A terrific teacher and uses the ap for classical music which is what need rather than pop.
This is the most amazing mobile app for scanning music. The accuracy is just about perfect, even with text! For me, it is great to export/share to XML, and then open it in my favorite music notation program. Just take a pic on your phone, or grab a PDF et voilà!
i felt attacked. when you said 'you dont want your teacher to know that you fooled around the whole week." Its actually been more that 3 weeks now. lmao.
Thanks for the review. But I can’t believe you didn’t lay that score flat on a table and bend the spine to open it up more. 😮 It’s crucial to get as good a scan as possible.
So could I email myself a midi file, save it on a flash drive, then play the recording on my Yamaha clavinova?
Your DAW looks great for this and exactly what I need. Could you tell which one you are using? Need one that adds virtual instruments so I can upload my midi file and plays it very easily.
Hey Robert, because I also have this one, I know he's using Ableton Live
Do you know why I wouldn't get the Share to MusicXML or Midi option? I just get Share Document :(
Only the paid version can share those formats.
Can you transfer files from forScore?
I am playing ukulele, is this app good for my situation?
OMG dude. DAW maybe a common place TLA for you, but some of us a still new to this space. A little help? DAW what?
not what i was looking for. is there an app that can LISTEN to ME play the piano, and WAITS for me to catch up? but let's me download or pick music.
The app "simply piano" does most of the above, but it cost a lot and i wanna play "it's raining taco's" with the benefits of listening to me for mistakes and pacing like simply piano does. also SP i dunno if it would let me put raining taco's on it.
How do you speed it up? Playback is too slow.
Adjust the tempo slider along the bottom of the play screen
It's a bit hard to tell because the free version doesn't seem to give you much. Hard to get a feel for it. For example I had a 2 page piece but couldn't collate it. It saved as 2 separate items, which was hard to work with. Shame.
how do I cancel my subscription?
Tap the store button and choose Cancel Subscription
I found it really struggles to recognize rests and ties
You need a top-end device with a good camera.
@@antinus I do, have those

Wow, a whole website for the App and no words about the pricing at first glance.
No, thanks ... I keep my money for comapanies who are confident enough not to hide their pricing model.
$25/yr is highway robbery
@@14.1guy2 what about not showing that information on a prominet spot on the website was too difficult for you to understand? I want to know that, before I install something and/or leave any personal information. That's the point and you didn't get it.
@@tvncgn apps can't do that because price depends on country and tax rates.
@@antinus Bullshit. Other companies do so.
And because of "tax rates" you can't display the base-price without taxes?
I want to know what I have to pay BEFORE I leave any personal data or even ad payment details.
