They're 4-start, 2mm pitch equalling 8mm lead
I enquire about modifying my longmill V2 30 x 30 to 48 x 30 version Iwas told there is no kit please confirm whether that is available now o the total cost including fright to Oman Please give a list of all the parts the Kit will contain

Will you have 48*48 options ever ?
Hi Jav! At this current time, no. There are a couple of engineering and logistical challenges extending the Y-axis. One of the biggest reasons is that it is difficult to purchase a 6ft x 6ft sheet which the machine would have to sit on at the 48×48 version. Part of the reason we chose a 48x30in working area is because the machine can sit on a 4ft x 6ft sheet (basically a cut down 4ft x 8ft sheet). To accommodate a 48×48 version, we would need to build a custom table as well, which is currently not a priority in development.
Please feel free to read about the AltMill in our blog (sienci.com/?s=altmill). There is no set expected release date for the AltMill, but it is likely to be in the middle to end of this year.

Too bad Y axis lead screws aren't on outer side...this way it will be covered in sawdust pretty quick. :)
But overall nice machine. :)
The amount of dust is actually very low, especially if you have a dust shoe on your machine. In case you're still worried though we have dust covers that go overtop the screws on both sides that nearly fully seal them off: sienci.com/product/longmill-mk2-lead-screw-dust-shield/
