The harm of smoking is widely held now as a self evident truth but I wonder if that’s completely accurate. Doctors used to prescribe smoking. People smoked for thousands of years. Yet cancer, heart disease and diabetes rose exponentially after sugar and vegetable oils were dietary staples. A child smoking is outrageous, a child drinking coke eating candy bars, potato chips, donuts, cookies, cake is completely normal. So many questions...

@@deemah3602 what do you mean with “affect the neural system”? It is very well known that sugar triggers the release of dopamine. This is probably why it is so addictive. Does this count as affecting the neural system enough to meet your criteria? Regardless it is addictive and causes harm ( it causes harm in the amount we take it, but that is true for all things that cause harm, it shouldn’t be necessary to say it). That to me are the essential characteristics of drugs. Technically drug might mean a substance that provoques a biological response, so it is more like a way of manipulating someone’s body. It doesn’t have to be bad, or cause harm or be addictive. In that sense, all medicine would be drugs. I do not know the technical definition of drug. But what people mean when they say drug is something that is harmful and addictive. If you say you give your kids drugs when they are sick you will end up explaining yourself to the cops or a social worker quick, even though technically that might be something that everyone does. Drugs simply no longer means medicine in common use. Anyway, because I don’t know what drug means, I didn’t say sugar is a drug. I said addiction, to avoid confusion. And yet confusion found me 😅
We just need alcohol commercials to be banned because they’re also targeting kids. I’ve seen RUclips alcohol ads on videos that are children related content, like anything related with cartoons.
Why would nearly all harmless psychoactive substances be banned in most of the world, but the highly addictive body destroying alcoholic beverages are completely legal and praised all over the world.
When i said "you're" I was referring to smokers in general yes. And the reason people *start* smoking is definitely not be cool my friend. Most people find themselves trying one while drunk or to get back at their "lousy" parents. I kind of really hate when people say it was because you were "trying to be cool" so I got a bit upset, my bad.
@@shaiyanmhamud7224 A lot of people do START to be cool in a sense. Whether because they're peer pressured or just think it looks cool, or to counter someone who's lame who doesn't smoke, or to fit in with a group you're trying to get into where the majority/all smoke. All of these are in one way or another "to look cool". But people have other reasons too. My mom started because smokers were allowed 15 minutes breaks every few hours and she wasn't and she was like nuh-uh. XD Thankfully she stopped and I barely remember her with a cigarette.
TBH i started smoking because i wanted to look as cool as Bogart, and as smart as Camus. I've quit since then (cigarrete free for a year and a couple of months) but i smoked for some good 4 years before fully understanding the health and financial damage, and that there is no such thing as "social smoking" once you're an addict. And to be completely honest if i werent burning a ridiculous amount of money and killing myself, i would smoke 50 packs a day.
We got taught this in sales and marketing, one if the first things you learn "market and sell with emotion, close with logic" closing with logic is a while different story
Marlboro is great. They keep the original Marlboro Red box, makes me feel good. I love Marlboro for several reasons but this video explains a lot of it.

SepehR 2.0 try cigars there's way less of a risk of health problems onlt smoke them once in a while like once a month or twice just all U need to know is don't inhale them if u really wanted to try cigars check out the RUclips channel cigarobsession he has a lot of informational vids I'd recommend a baccarat preferably something about a robusto size (5×50) goes great with coffee just smoke it slow
-RazorX- it is fkn heaven.
Dee Jolly you're goddamm right it is. It's how I start my day every morning.
I see your channel is really start to take off bro. That was quicker than even I expected. Your Video quality has raised sharply as well; though correlation is not proof of causation so I think if you added more stick figures and simple pictograms then you'll really be booming.
Says the guy who likes extremist propaganda videos
headcoLd 7 that has nothing to do with anything. Nice try at being edgy but you fail miserably.
I wonder why they swapped out all of the healthy throat improving cigarettes for these lung cancer causing ones.
RIP Robert Norris, the Marlboro commercial guy. Apparently he never smoked and eventually quit doing those commercials because he was afraid that it was setting a bad example for his kids.
Joke's on them, I stopped smoking a year ago :D
I'll surely relapse? How come?
Not everyone is weak minded, some of us have discipline and dedication ;)
it's called self-awareness

If your strong mentally you can kick any habit.
Yesterday I was just thinking...cigarettes are acctualy like... a romanticized drug of today's society.
Gaia Buntić Pažitka alcohol. Sugar. Sex. Attention. Popularity/Aproval. Although cigarettes are perhaps one of the worst of the mainstream addictions, they surely aren't the only ones.
Ah not to mention coffee of course...

@@aienbalosaienbalos4186 sugar is not a drug as it doesn't affect the neural system
And yet confusion found me 😅
This is a REALLY good channel. These videos make you think. And the quality is really good
Smoke weed
what if someone doesn't like smoking weed
bradledots then don’t smoke
if u smoke it once.u would like to smoke it twice n then everyday

Smoke weed get schizophrenia.
We just need alcohol commercials to be banned because they’re also targeting kids. I’ve seen RUclips alcohol ads on videos that are children related content, like anything related with cartoons.
Militant Pacifist no fuck you
Interesting logic
Why would nearly all harmless psychoactive substances be banned in most of the world, but the highly addictive body destroying alcoholic beverages are completely legal and praised all over the world.
AVeryFestiveMedic exactly, unban all harmless psychoactive substances. Even if that is not what you meant.
Your post makes me want a beer or six to think over your proposal.
I had to do it.. Your little lifestyle ad convinced me to subscribe.
Btw. This is my 3rd time watching... Such a great video!
I hate smoking but i love the Marlboro latters on the old Ferrari F1 cars. it's just looking good😅
Never seen any advertisements, but I still love cigs.
Back in the day I used to think Marlboro was the partner brand for Ferrari coz it used to look so cool on Ferrari cars with Schumacher at the top
I recall that Marlboro was famous for sponsoring some of McLaren’s cars from the 80s and 90s, too.
also toyota gt one :)
@@paveantelic7876 toyota was always sponsored by panasonic. Well, that if you are sticking to f1
"I'm buying a pack to be cool" No, you're buying a pack because you're addicted, silly goose.
I don't smoke. I was referring to the reasons people *start* smoking.
When i said "you're" I was referring to smokers in general yes. And the reason people *start* smoking is definitely not be cool my friend. Most people find themselves trying one while drunk or to get back at their "lousy" parents. I kind of really hate when people say it was because you were "trying to be cool" so I got a bit upset, my bad.
nah some buy it to look cool, then get addicted and continue buying them
@@shaiyanmhamud7224 A lot of people do START to be cool in a sense.
I swear this was a 15 minute video when I first saw it over a year ago. 🤯
How did we go from *that* to Gillete?
People want original but everything has already been done before. They ran out of ideas and took the next best thing.
gypsy lab i liked it too, i dont get the hate at all
Your editing gives me life
Interesting perspective. I really like your video essays
thank you tabbe!
This channel is gunna explode
That throwback video wasn’t boring btw. It’s really cool that you showed us that.
Old ads are better, they are relevant and easy to understand
which is the opposite of what a scammer wants
You tricked me into subscribing... That damn ad!
This man needs more subscribers.
you put a lot work on your videos, and that is why they are great!
I watched this video months ago. Can't believe I'm back.
This video is so chill to watch I’m literally sitting and listening to this in the car instead of music...
Marlboro is great. They keep the original Marlboro Red box, makes me feel good. I love Marlboro for several reasons but this video explains a lot of it.
I wish smoking was healthy
A lot of classmates and other friends at school smoke and/or use snus, but I've had only a single one try to encourage me to use either. But also one guy who uses both on a daily basis has encouraged me to never do the same mistake as him and to stay clear of them.
When you did the catlyne to bruce jenner thing i subbed

I absolutely despise lifestyle advertisement. It's anti-intellectual and manipulative in the most heavy handed way.
I much prefer when they just tell me why to buy their product.
Capitalists would rather manipulate than convince people to buy their product.

(Can we just keep this comment at 420 likes pls it fits the comment tbh)
It wont happen, most countries banned drug adverts ages ago. Although medicinal cannabis might get ads in like 10 years when it’s no longer associated with thuggery.
