Right now, nearly 2 million people are homeless as the dictator government of Daniel Ortega strips its people of all they have. Thousands of people have died in clashes with government police. Thousands more have gone missing, including the fathers and husbands who would otherwise provide for these families.
Nicaragua has no government relief agencies to provide assistance to poor families; they are simply left to starve.
