I think it would be almost impossible to do that with how the program for the olympics are now. she would have to run 9 days, every day a 400 meter and thats without counting the relays. I think the for the future remark also includes the program to change a bit to make it possible to do.

Have to admit, it's got to be kind of intimidating when a World Record holder says "my speeds never been this good". My take? This is all part of a larger plan to come back to the flat 400. If you look at all of the women who were close to that WR, they were ALL sub 22 200m runners. Of course, doesn't hurt that this will also translate to the 400H.

Technically not true. I thought the same thing but Salwa Eid Naser & Olha Bryzhina (who are both in the top 5 all-time) are not sub 22. Salwa’s 200 pb is 22.51 and Olha is 22.44. Salwa is of course the closest of any to those records. Looking at all of her times, she’s an interesting case. 🤔

what double ? 400 flat and hurdles ? thats exhausting, Michael Johnson , a man, a legend , did 200 and 400 , you are asking a lot from Sydney, she could risk loosing both golds if she did , to Femke or Paulino

The schedule isn’t great for the double. If it was and she still skipped it I’d be more upset, but while I wish she’d do it I don’t blame her for not doing it.

@@MrLuis85698 The heats and semis would be a piece of cake for her. No more than easy practice days. The hurdles final, no so easy, still she's much ahead of Femke. The only real challenge would be the flat final. But she could do it. Certainly she would medal. But, that's my point: there would be a real chance for a second gold
