This interview has got to be one of the greatest one Strombo had ever done so far. Vandana Shiva is the modern version of Ghandi, I am so glad I came across her videos.

Ghandi? LOL she is a crackpot fake scientist "educating" in a field she has no training or research in and she speaks about poverty while impoverishing get own country as she flies around the country in her private jet. "Ghandi" ..I don't think so.
The comparison with Ghandi is not so good as Ghandi did permit the partition of India, the worst of the worst to the function of a free India. If you read the works of Sri Aurobindo you know that India is the Mother of all nations which lack the spiritual guidance. He saw that the partition of India will ultimately end and it will be left to us whether by peaceful action or war.
I am just discovering this fascinating woman. Putting her scientific knowledge at the service of her activism against those GMO corporations is impressive!
My god she has a beautiful mind, body and spirit. This is a true leader of humanity, I now know why I took such offence observing the headless chickens in parliament around the world, whilst being told they are our leaders. I see more potential in us, we can progress further with people like Vandana Shiva leading us towards our future! It's time to stop ignoring our beautiful environment and embrace humanities will to protect biodiversity and see it prosper!

I got the opportunity to listen her live at St Teresa's College Ernakulam during my studies there in 1998-2000 . We had a chapter on Intellectual property rights by Dr.Shiva in our English essay paper. Since then Vandana Shiva is a person whom i admire and i keep listening to her mostly for her excellent communication skills.
Vandana Shiva has taught us more about farming, chemical companies, physics and new and destructive biology trends, that have been supported by our governments in this short but potent interview. We now all know better because of the courage, intelligence and unshakable truth she dares to speak. George Strombo brings us quality tv when he chooses guests such as Vandana Shiva....a rare gift, indeed. The modern day Holy Mother.

Indian farmers LOVE GMO cotton, it grew from zero acres in 2002 to 20 million acres a few years later with a 90% adoption rate that holds today. At 6:15 she says seed companies want to own and control life through patenting. This is a lie. A seed patent for cotton does not control all cotton it temporarily controls only a trait or two. She fails to mention that patents expire after 20 years and that seed patenting is nothing new to farmers, it has been going on since 1930. In another video she proclaims that "GMO's are killing all life on earth" and "GMO's are killing science". Those are whoppers. I guess she wants to take away life saving insulin from people around the world. Would you like more? Regards.

I cannot appreciate Vandana Shiva enough for opening my mind to this; in contrast with nature which aims at ecological diversity and balance in its growth process, the modern corporation aims to grow forever, first organically then inorganically and in so doing destroy entirely networks which small and medium scale enterprises rely on. Yet, the modern investor plays a bigger role in all of this.
Please listen - it takes 10 imputs to get 1 output in chem. arable agriculture and is subsidised. For the record, 50-60 imputs to an animal for eating to get one out. Paid for by the tax payer and undermining prices of trad. mkts supplied w. natural produce. Thats why food is now getting more expensive as these subsidies go! Not even discussing GMO or pollution. Food commodity policy, by WTO & SKIM/GAT by Europe causes Inefficiency & food is not cheap. We pay directly or indirectly, always!
Women should be leading the countries of the world because they have a multi dimensional intelligence that is progressive. Dr Vandana Shiva should be touring the world and awakening the Shakti of women. Vanakam 🙏
