She’s both beautiful and smart. My favorite actress and biggest crush. 💖
What a great interview- both Jodie Foster and George. Fantastic!
she is so lovely.
She looks amazing.
Classy lady.
I really enjoy the way George asks questions. His questions elicit quality answers. I just watched a 60 minutes interview with Bob Dylan in which Bob gave the interviewer lots of yes & no answers. I'll bet George could get Bob talking.
Intelligent, talented, beautiful.,...a rare star!! ❤️💛💚💙💜
"I was less worried about the actor than the man." So true. Mel's professionalism is huge. Say whatever stupid shit you want about Mel, he is an amazing actor. Even under tremendous personal torment, he gives a brilliant performance as an actor.
Poor victim, Mel Gibson.
Fascinating woman
I literally haven't seen anyone with such quick and impressive responses. What a genius
jpdie foster is gorgeous
damn that was a good interview
The beaver was a great, beautiful film
I love Jodie she is amazing!
Beautiful
She's probably the best actor of the last 100 years & I'm sure she'd not agree. She's a really good director. I've really enjoyed each film I've seen she directed and I've probably seen all her movies that are out for the public & not one is bad. I have some personal favorites for different reasons. Nell for example is a great movie and really difficult for any actor to pull that off but she did it with perfection. Panic Room is one of those movies that takes place just in a condo like Flight Plan on a plane so it takes some really good acting to pull those kinds of films off and she did both to perfection and everyone in the films with her were fantastic too. That's another thing; she works with really great actors. Silence of the Lambs is the favorite of many and I loved it and can see why she didn't do the follow up although it would have been a success had she done it. For someone who grew up in the public eye & as crazy as media is today blending in with things it shouldn't, perhaps her bravest moments are when she gives a little details of her private life because after all, her mind and being is in her films and to her it has to seem as if she has very little privacy so she would hold that dear so giving out bits of info like some we all knew but some just had to hear her say about her romantic life had to be a little stressful to her. I think it's time we give celebrities real privacy. They are out there on the screen and in interviews so isn't that enough for us? No one here would like it if a hidden cam was following them around their house during very private moments.
I attended acting school, did the modeling and all that but I agree with Jodie, it's really not something to encourage on kids. Sure, can be big money for a few but you give up so much more than is realized imo. Long, insane hours then downtime not knowing if you get another part then worry about where you can go and when without being spotted and people demanding you sign something or bother you while you're eating at a restaurant.
***** What does her homosexuality have to do with anything??We're just talking about acting here, and clearly each of us has his own opinions.. Also, your site is shit! homosexuality can't be changed or cured, because guess what, it's not a disease..Omg i cant believe that in 2014 there are still people who can't get over this
Am_hustle05 Meryl is a good actress, great, not so sure. She speaks to her generation but not across generations. JF, truly gifted and speaks across time and age.
***** You can't compare Meryl with Jodie, two different planets. Meryl can be anything and she gives everything to the character she's interpreting, she's vulnerable but at the same time she can be strong and powerful, she's true and honest. I wish Foster had the gift of vulnerability but in fact she doesn't. I only saw her like that in "Nell", and I think she should have definitely got an oscar for it because you could see it was not easy for her. She set a higher bar there but never got to repeat it again. In terms of acting I think she's "selfish" and coy because she tends to create a barrier between the character she's interpreting and her inner emotions. And you can see this in almost every movie after Nell..and frankly I do not understand how people can't go beyond appearances and see how tense she is inside
👍
and very smart she speaks fluently French with no accent.
she's adorable
Yessss
Woman of substance
Great show! You are knowledgeable about your guests and ask pertinent, interesting questions with a sense of empathy...
Jodie is just a remarkable human being - the light emanates from her...
glad she hasnt altered her face with fillers and other crap
Respect for her ! Substance, character ,realness, depth ...so much more.Interesting !
She's the best
I adore Jodie Foster. Prodigiously talented and versatile, yet centered and grounded as a human being.
I love most of her work (Somersby and Elysium excepted) but I love her few forays into comedy.
"Maverick" cracks me up every time, but I love the serious stuff too, "The Brave One," "Accused," and "Contact," are stand out films, where she basically acts the pants off everyone around her and probably forces others to up their games, just to keep up with her!
I grew up with Jodie in the movies, we're about the same age. She's an old and beautiful soul. I think she is the only lesbian that straight intellectual men have a sense of regret about.
No!
I think she is the only lesbian that gay intellectuals have a sense of regret about.
🤣
Her sex life is unimportant. She is a strong, brilliant, hardworking woman. I respect her work, and her desire to keep her sons away from paparazzi.
Greatest actress ever
I love you Ellie Arroway! ;-)
BEST Show on the planet, Jodie's the best of the best !!!

She is a inspiration to all. I wish I could meet her and ask her, qui aimes -tu.
An outstanding individual
awesome
Brilliant
alguém sabe dizer o nome do filme q ela fez a a trilha sonora é nikita?
imagine "hiding" a major portion of one's life ! I know now i'm the bad person for putting it in words.
Jodie Foster has somewhat oddly become dramatically more feminine as she entered her 50s. Even into her late 30s she could be quite the tomboy. Totally “girly” since when “Beaver” came out. Interesting how people constantly evolve. It’s cool.
Is it just me, or do most comments below make no sense?
I think George bombed on this interview. Too much talk about Gibson. She is there to talk about her film career not to defend another.
Still love you still miss you
Today as well flirty one.
se n me engano é A ESCOLHIDA. não consigo achar....
I dont understand what she's saying about the casting director who asked her to take her jacket off and turn around? explain please :)
+Phan Tasma I think either the casting director wanted to do something sexual to Jodie or he wanted to examine in her in a sexual way. Either way, terribly inappropriate especially to a 14 year old.
little man tate was a terrific film...i highly recommend it...directors get way too much credit....writers, cinematographers, editors are the real unsung heroes who get too little credit when a film succeeds...i have worked on major films where the director did little if not anything...a great director cannot make a bad film great...but there have been great films directed by bad directors...the other members of the crew rose to the occasion...
Am I the only person who thought, upon first seeing the poster, that this movie was a fictitious parody?
I wonder If she enjoying playing the role of the Australian Prime Minster Mrs Guillard.
" Finnished " before she sat down....
She's seems cool
Love me some Jodie.
Less lonely with Bella, still miss you, 125, still love you.
Mel Gibson is a extreme talent and extremely intense, he and JW are both that way and both of high intellect, however racism is a red line.
I'm Jody
What are they talking about with regards to Mel Gibson? What happened... I really have no idea what they're talking about.

This woman hated Ronald Reagan, so John Hinckley Jr. tried to impress her by assassinating Reagan.
She was very happy when Reagan died in 2004.
FYI Jodie Foster hired Hinckley to vanish President Reagan.
I think she's in the majority there.
absoftitanium Abs, anyone who ‘likes’ Reagan does not understand how he destroyed America (US) and opportunity for the majority of citizens. Then Clinton (sadly loved) completed Reagan’s assault, and thus poverty is becoming the majority in that beleaguered country. Minimum wages from the forties to the end of the seventies were true living wages that actually could support a family with two children, four in total.
Now, thanks to Reagan (remember trickle down) and cemented by Clinton (in desperation for a second election win), it gets you a simple basement suit for one, some food and transport to and from work. And a little more for a few other necessities and little beyond.
Seven dollars an hour. Existence wage that is-not enough for family life and what could be got from the Roosevelt legacy. Sad.
The assault continues on the wages of the middle class.
Namaste and care,
mhikl
Is she perfect?
she lets people tell her she has problems too easily
Wolf whistles galore
ninetys movies.
Jodie, i luuuuve you. But how come that you allways CLAP your hands together, and you allways folding your hands :-). Some kind of a personal...
I see you... Funny somehow...:-). Oooo...i'm just an 55 years old Norwegian guy seen all your movies. Stay on baybe... :-). Watching you...
She is very flirty, with George here.
Hate Jodie's politics, but love her as an actress and director.
Jodie should do less directing and more acting imo.
Didn't dig the film. MG overacting once again.
another example of a fit women who bats for the opposition, what a waste
Joddie anster
Wow how eerie speaking about an audience of cardboard cutouts
even viewing this my nostrils flare and my eyes bug out like deer in the headlights that I MAY absorb one single atom from her it makes you want to eat the screen
Sahrawi histoire 1976 Le Sahara occidental capital de le monde car le dernier gouvernement du mahdi el montader c'est logique pour information
its almost an embarrassment for a male to interview her. we demand they be submissive but he knew quite well he was looking at iq of over 160 multiple languages as a teen. who WOULD NOT be intimidated.
Jodi Foster is a blasted hypocrite. She "does Christmas" Ya right! She's an atheist for goodness' sake. Her reasoning behind that is so twisted - she needs to get consistent.
So atheists don't participate in Christmas?
@@rustincohle2135 Christmas is a festival Christians celebrate the birth of Christ who they believe to be God.. why would an atheist celebrate this? Or have I missed something?
@@karenw4125 "Christmas is a festival Christians celebrate the birth of Christ who they believe to be God"
Yea, and Santa Claus, xmas trees, xmas parties, jingle bells, eggnog and bashing people's faces in to get a good deal on a TV on Black Friday have what to do with Christ, again? Christmas is not just about going to church, bro. There are millions of people (including non-Christians) that participate in Xmas without acknowledging the religious aspects of the holiday. You seriously don't get that?
@@rustincohle2135 It’s officially a religious holiday
@@Dino23968 Again, so what? If you think every single person who goes to a xmas party, buys xmas gifts, puts up a xmas tree, or has their kid's photo taken with a shopping mall Santa is a Christian, then you're very naive. Half the people I know are atheist and almost all of them partake in Xmas in some way.
