You can get Wheat, it is just painful. You need to set up the Farm on top of a Rail Collection system and not give the Farmer a Composter (you want his Inventory to remain Full Of Seeds!). Then give the Farmer 8 Stacks of Seeds and let him loose on the Farm. He will harvest the Wheat but not be able to pick it up, and the Hopper Minecart will pick up the Wheat (and extra Seeds) and deliver them to a Hopper Minecart Unloader. Bread is much easier.
Hey jc, recently im following your iron farm for my world and im wondering, can i trade with them? I just need to make sure so that i dont broke my iron farm 😅
Another thing you can do is add beehives and flowers to the farm so the bees bonemeal the crops and if the villagers inventory is full you could have a hopper mine cart system to pick up the crops
If you give a wheat farmer 8 stacks of seeds and no composter they cannot pick anything up but will still harvest, replant and leave the wheat and excess seeds floating. A hopper minecart underneath will pick up everything, giving you a wheat rather than bread farm.
@@patrickd-k3916 i was getting this in the beginning. Turns out i placed the trapdoor at the upper block (eye level). Villagers were not able to see each other. Check this once
try to make a separate machine with auto crafter, connect it with the carrot farm and gold farm, but only the gold nuggets, so you can make a golden carrot farm
Quick and easy to build and works well with carrots, my beets seems to be having issues though, not sure if its got to do with the composter, cheers JC!
For beets and wheat, you will probably need to leave the composter there so that the farmer can compost the excess seeds. Otherwise, I think the farmers inventory can fill fully with seeds and he will no longer collect the crop.
The villager near hopper should not pick any food. If he has any food in his inventory then he will no longer be considered a hungry villager and the farmer will no longer throw items at him. To solve this just replace the villager near the hoppers and ensure that he does not have any food in his inventory.
Does the villager collection system with the hopper minecart and trapdoor? Playing on PS4 edition on PS5 and I can't find a collection system that works. Villagers keep moving carts or just won't drop in them
Hi i built this farm andit is working fine but im not sure why the farmer stopped depositing the potatoes in the box and it stopped accepting potatoes into its inventory, when I went in the farm to check i realised the minecart with hopper was not in place, was that the reason why?
maybe i'm just impatient, but none of the farms are working. i bonemealed everything (twice) on only the carrot level and the farmer is still running around picking up/replanting everything and not giving it to the fletcher. i saw a comment about the trapdoor not being in the right place, so i checked and it is. any ideas would be appreciated :D
I've tried to make this farm a few different times in Bedrock and in different versions of Bedrock. None of those times have I ever gotten this farm to work. I've taken extra precautions to ensure everything is EXACTLY as the tutorial video describes and they still don't work. The Farmer villager either never trades with the Fletcher, or the Farmer tries to trade with the Fletcher 1 or 2 times and then never does it again. I don't understand but it sounds like I'll be putting rails and a minecart with a hopper underneath this farm after all...
Does anyone know if I'm able to make this next to a villager breeder? Or will I need to make it at least 100 blocks away? Any response would help and be great!
Its such a hassle. It’s exactly what i did. Right next to the breeder. But it is possible. There seem to be a lot of problems with it other than that though, it takes a while to test everything. But you should be fine as long as you’re methodically placing beds and composters to make sure the villagers link to them.
I built 4 layers and the farmer in the top is harvesting but doesnt throw it to the fletcher. They are linked to the beds and have their profession locked in. It works fine on the layers below
Mine was working for 3 weeks and now all of a sudden thr farmers are no longer picking up crops or trading them, and I've even swapped out new villagers...please help.
Hey JC my villagers aren’t tossing the crops to the wrong villager and for some reason are trying to toss food to the other farmer even though they are separated
To harvest wheat: I don't think you will need a composter. However, you will need to collect the wheat dropped on the ground using a minecart with hopper running underneath the farmland, instead of the villager at the side. To collect bread: You will need to leave the composter there so the farmer can compost excess seeds. Bread can be collected using the villager as shown in this video.
My villager is not throwing the crops, I used a smithing table instead of a fletcher, does it really make a difference on who they will and won’t throw crops too?
I wouldnt, you can really only have one farmer in a chamber because if you had two they would breed. Expanding anymore might hurt the efficiency of the farm since there is only one farmer. And as for autocrop farms in general this is as big as i would make it. If you want more produce i would stack the chambers like he did in the video.
Would there be any way to build this near villagers? I have a full trading hall in my base with 23 villagers and I want to make this in my base somewhere else but it can't be that far away. Anyone know an alternative build like this that works by other villagers?
@miguelscheer So there's actually a version of a villager farm that works regardless of nearby villagers that uses hopper minecarts below the dirt to collect all the crops. You just fill the villagers inventory with the crop you want and it works. It even allows wheat farms to work if you fill their inventory with seeds bc they'll never pickup the wheat. It's been doing wonders in my base the only thing I'll say is don't have any other workstation around bc that'll break it and also dont allow farmers direct access to the workstation bc they'll dump their whole inv you gave them into it, otherwise it's very flexible and works great. I have to farmers on a big farm plot that harvest wheat I did get into a tiny snag where my minecart rails bugged but I have a good iron farm so I just replaced the system with just connecting raw hoppers under the whole thing. I was on Bedrock btw js
@@TheOneAndOnlyZN I've done that before, but is there a way to stop the minecart in front of the chest's hopper so that it can dump all the crop drops inside of it, and then after that, start running again?
@@UaomShang I actually did something else: I set up a floor of hoppers connected to an autocrafter, which then links to a double chest. Above the hoppers, I placed rails with a minecart.
