It's amazing to see the culmination of all the work TASers have put in the past year. Not even a year ago, there was no completed Any% TAS, only a few random levels. Yet here we are, with a TAS of the game in its entirety. I couldn't ask for more. Great work to everyone who made this possible!!!
outrunning oshiro is the wildest thing i've ever seen in this game edit: and that summit heart collect was immaculate edit 2: HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF CORE DTS????
Thank you so much all TASers who contributed to this masterpiece, this was really fun to watch. Btw, 6a and 7a were my favorites to watch, so much cool stuff.
Every downright dash multiplies your speed, and you can cancel these dashes into each other to continuously build speed. Dashing like this into a Theo room exit without holding Theo lets you build speed. The speed is released when grabbing Theo. I believe the game considers you to be moving forward at the exit but it keeps pushing you out since you aren't holding Theo.
tas goes back to intro car room to gain speed, when your speed is high enough, you can skip the trigger that disables refilling if you don't touch it in 2 consecutive frames
This whole thing is absolutely wild, but the thing that had me most perplexed was that you skipped the trigger for core mode dashing in core. How did you do that?
Huh, you might be right. It's just a weird instance because my understanding was that you have to start pausing immediately when you enter the room if the spinner you want to stun is loaded and on screen. Maybe there's some weird stuff going on with dust bunnies specifically.@@pandaxolotl
@@ziwuri i think my other comment got withheld for including a link, but you're right about pausing immediately. it's not spinner stunning because that was only coined/used almost a year after this video. tases pause so they can hold a button without the game registering it as a press. it's likely that here, they wanted the halved gravity from holding jump at low y speeds, without registering a jump press.
That category is called 202 berries (strawberries, city dashless berry, moonberry, golden berries). In the 100% category, you get everything except goldens and dashless berry. Getting all goldens at the end of the run would be essentially the same thing as any% (because you just clear each chapter) and a superdash variant any% TAS already exists.
It went so ridiculously fast that it only spent 1 (maybe 0?) Frames in the trigger that takes your dashes, when you have to be in the trigger for 2 frames for it to activate.
The entire farewell sequence is basically what people think celeste is when they see speedrun of it
“There is only a single thing in this universe that can travel faster than light; and her name is Madeline.”
-Steven Hawking, probably.
8:29 Madeline does that section so fast you can still see Theo crawling through the vents when she goes back
Loving 10:45 catching up to oshiros dash

of course but i meant (superdash) any% in this context
Super dash is the best dash
That, sure, was a fast farewell....
41:45 happily hopping on spikes
I'm impressed that this almost got through 7B before the melody started.
Feather: I can help you fly anywere you want
TAS: I can go at Mach 69 and literally go though spinners so no thanks ig
Don’t need the feather when you’re fast enough to outrun mental illness
that farewell ending never gets old.
"Uhh, thi"
-Theo, 44:34
1:02:36 holy crap why isn't there a speed limit in celeste
And the melody of the song matched the room changes in this part
I loved this
Because it’s cool as shit
YOOOOO this is so sick, huge props to everyone who worked on this
To the seekers, madeline is that one annoying fly in your ear you will never be able to get rid of
outrunning oshiro is the wildest thing i've ever seen in this game

edit 2: HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF CORE DTS????
Farewell is insane
Thank you so much all TASers who contributed to this masterpiece, this was really fun to watch. Btw, 6a and 7a were my favorites to watch, so much cool stuff.
5:38 this cracked me up ngl
6:09 Why is it so funny to see Madeline flying over to the payphone😭
Theo: okay now you're just showing off!
This looks like it took an insane amount of work, good job everyone who worked on this
By the time Core B-side had been completed, it was half a minute faster time than my any% PB. The Superdash TAS is zooming
Gotta love a gas beating the game 100% in the same time I do any%
madeline is literally flying lmao
That's such a cool video. TASes are so underappreciated.
this is such an amazing tas oh my god. love it, great work
38:11 WTH why so close
Unlocking Variant mode was so worth the grind, C sides were annoying asf tho
creative mode
could anyone explain how the thing at 44:20 works? why does it gain so much speed

@@kivov oh i see, thank you for explaining
Farewell, completely broken 😮
Next time with a hiccups lol, nice job by the way !
4:36 farewell yeah that seems about right
can someone explain to me how the tas is getting the dash back in core? like in the room in 36:13?
tas goes back to intro car room to gain speed, when your speed is high enough, you can skip the trigger that disables refilling if you don't touch it in 2 consecutive frames

This whole thing is absolutely wild, but the thing that had me most perplexed was that you skipped the trigger for core mode dashing in core. How did you do that?
presumably by being so fast that youre on the left of the trigger on one frame, then on the right of the trigger on the next frame
How did you find my casual first playthrough footage
40:12 Why do you have to pause here?
it's a tas tech called spinner stunning where if you pass every 2 frames (iirc) some of the spinners won't load properly and won't kill you
Huh, you might be right. It's just a weird instance because my understanding was that you have to start pausing immediately when you enter the room if the spinner you want to stun is loaded and on screen. Maybe there's some weird stuff going on with dust bunnies specifically.@@pandaxolotl
@@ziwuri also apparently the most recent version of the 3b tas does not pause there anymore so yeah lmao

wow, it must be really rare to find a situation where half grav saves more than the frames pausing loses up front@@kivov
Madeline invented 7UP
28:18 wait, how? How did you get through the wall
which wall are you talking about
How did you get those angles through the dream blocks in chapter 2
the superdashes give you full 360° freedom of movement so it's really easy to get madeline to dash at strange angles
1:02:30 What did i just watch
How it feels to Superluminary
ANALOG ADVANTAGE !!!1111!!11!!
22:36 why dont rta runners just do this? are they stupid?
Yes
36:26 HOW?!
Chained ultras 🔥
zoomies
wow
How is this 100%? there is golden strawberries left, right?

I know super dash makes your dash twice as long bUT THIS IS LIKE 5x DASH LENGHT SOMETIMES LMAO
When youre moving really fast your dash gets stretched horizontally to match the speed, that's not a superdash specific thing
how did little bro do dis
Idk man this TAS guy is really good
this is really not x5?
He didn’t lose dashes in core?
They skipped the "no refill trigger"
It went so ridiculously fast that it only spent 1 (maybe 0?) Frames in the trigger that takes your dashes, when you have to be in the trigger for 2 frames for it to activate.
