Yes, I've owned several pairs of the Magna boot, as far back as 2019 when I purchased the Canvas Magna. The older boots had problems, the sole cracked and the shoe lace hardware broke off, but they have since fixed these issues. The leather boots are the best in my opinion, this material will outlast the sole, and yes the sock upper is tight and keeps rain, and dirt out. good luck!
Would these work as everyday shoes? I do a lot of outdoor activities and it's part of my career, so I'm considering some good outdoor barefoot shoes for all weathers but especially rain. would you recommend them?
Yes, these would be great everyday shoes if you need a little extra support and traction, but may get a little hot in the summer months. They are treated with a water repellent and will hold up just fine against rain, and vivo now includes a leather boot wax for free with some orders. it's called renapur, and it's supposed to be non-toxic. I've made boot wax out of beeswax too. the problem with using a wax, is the leather can no longer breathe, so I stopped using it on my leather shoes. Leather is a very durable and long lasting material on it's own. For me, personally, I wear the Gobi boot as my work boot, which I have another video on. I like this boot most of all, cause it's upper is 100% leather. Depending on how much rain you deal with, and if you are handling any heavy equipment, I would wear a sandal or vented hiking shoe in the summer months such as the vivo tracker sandal or vivo primus trail FG. also have video's on those too. hope i didn't just make your decision more complicated, lol! Vivo does have a 100 day free return policy too. cheers!
@@BlackDogXLL Depends on what shoe you are buying. Most of vivo's shoes fit me perfect, except the New Pilgrim boot, which runs large. Vivo has a 100 day free trial, so you can order 2 sizes and send back the wrong size for free. cheers!
I bought them in my usual size, i found then terribly tight. I bought gobi leather sneaker in same size and it fits me perfect. Is this your usually size?
@@darulhuda873 That's strange? I just double checked both of my boots, and the sole on the Gobi and the Magna match up perfect. I have noticed vivo's sizing can be off on some shoes? I'm still wearing my 2 year old Ababa slippers that are extra wide for my narrow foot. I ordered a new pair as a back up, and the new pair is narrow compared to my original pair. If you ordered from Vivo, they do free 100 day trial and free returns. Good luck!
I just noticed this, but I haven't tried the Gobi leather sneaker yet? I have the Gobi leather boot. I did just order the gobi Organic canvas shoe. do you like the leather sneaker?
Have you used them enough for an opinion? Do you like them? Have you been in rain and did the wool upper let rain in?

@@primalpassion This has been most helpful, thankyou. Is it still recommended to purchase a size smaller than usual when buying shoes from Vivo?

Too narrow or too short? I wear size 43 in both Gobi and this boot. Both boots give me sufficient toe room.
@@primalpassion too narrow by the toe box. On Gobi sneaker fits me perfectly. The magna leather fg feels too narrow for me. I wear 43 too.
