The magna dont work in the winter. Your feet will be cold. But not bad either. They just arent winter shoes. But ive spent a Canadian winter in the trail knit soooo
Thanks for the review broski. I also have high arches like you, and I use some inserts in my shoes. Im going to mexico city in 4 weeks and I was thinking of buying these. How do they feel on your feet? Did you get a different size or your true size? Can you remove the insert and add another one?
Hey Sebastian. I personally am wearing the shoes as they come. I have been wearing them almost everyday and doing lots of waking. So far, I have not needed inserts or anything to add. I think our arches help if anything with this kind of shoe. I ordered the size 8 and have not needed to return or exchange. So far so good! You can remove the insert and add one of your choice.
I will admit in my humble opinion that the Magna FG shoes look better with shorts OR pants that are tapered at the ankles. Otherwise, they don't look as cool. Fitted pants period for these to look good/stylish. The white Primus Lite 3.5 Vivos you see me wear in this video look great with any pants or shorts I have worn so far. Shame you dont live in England. Because we have a store here so you can go and have your feet measured and even run on a treadmill to help find your perfect size.
Vivo are unfortunately a shot brand nowadays imo. They are exponentially worse than they were five years ago. Shockingly poor quality for such expensive shoes. They used to last for two years. Now six months. That's if you can put up with the new and absolutely unfit for purpose (in some cases) designs. Just awful. The tongue on the RA and Gobi designs used to be attached to the upper using a folding flap. Now it's been removed, so there's nothing to stop tongue just folding up horizontally then protruding under the bottom lace every ten steps. Embarassing. Then there's the sole. It wears out much faster now. Stitching comes loose. The leather is not even the same ballpark in terms of quality and feel. Some of the plastic ones are terribly painful. Pinch your toes and compress them too. Too flat and material too unforgiving. I wanted to stick with Vivo. Bought seven pairs. Sent back two others. Never again. I'm not just complaining after one bad pair. They really suck now. Lately I don't see folk wearing them much. It's a shame. they started off so well. They must improve if they're gonna keep their base happy.
@@ossamos Already did. I went with Keen for winter and walking shoes. Not barefoot, but very orthopedic brand. I am impressed. They do not all suit me and my messed up feet, but def. good practical shoes, thoughtfully and well designed/produced. To replace the RA and ADDIS I went wiith Camper PEU CAMI . They are the same kind of shape as Vivo RA or ADDIS but the quality is leagues ahead (same price). Highly recommended if you're looking for daily fashion or cool workplace shoes.
that's unfortunate. I wish you had a better experience with Vivo as time went on. I'm waiting to see how long mines last for now. I will be wearing nothing but these shoes when I leave for 3 months to Japan in October and that will let me see for myself whether or not these particular shoes I bought are worth it. Hopefully.
@@whatupbroskiiiOh nice. Where you gonna visit? 5:39 The shoes should last that long no problem. I’m not exaggerating though. The quality has dropped so badly. Normal working people can’t pay this price for this rubbish. I’m also well versed in biomechanics and can tell you they are good for some people, but for many, they’ll cause injury.
@japanunfound I'll be there from October 21-January 11 almost 3 months! I agree with you on the expensive price of the shoes. The quality must match what you are paying, especially during these times haha
If you put some elastic laces on the Primus they turn into slip-ons. My go-to when I don't want to think about what to put on.
I enjoyed your review, just purchased the Magna, let’s hope I enjoy them too
Awesome! hope you enjoy them

yeah, idk about the snow. I live in Florida so winter is not really winter haha. Canadian winter sounds colddd
I personally prefer the motus strenght for playing tennis. Way more ankle support, lateral protection and grippy soles
With that little gap around your ankle, that's why they have a second hole at the top, to pull it slightly tighter.
thanks for letting me know. It makes total sense.
Try lacing last hole to fix the loose area
will do! thanks man

Do you have any pictures of the Magna fg on with pants? Tying to gauge how they’d look with normal pants
