- Ithaqua / Night Watch Identity V Cosplay Tutorial and Katsucon meet up! I had a lot of fun making this Idv cosplay and hanging out with so many cool cosplayers at the meet up. I tried some new things like making a large detachable prop, making a mask, and making some fur! I also did some things I already know how to do (sewing, fabric dying, crochet, and more). Like always, thank you for watching! I'm hoping to do more videogame cosplays in the future :D
RUclips RECOMMENDATIONS? ACTUALLY WORKING? ABOUT MY FAVORITE THING?? ❤❤
Ahhh!! I’m so happy to hear this!!!
I love how you did your ears for the hood it turned out so cute
Thank you!!! 😊
for big props with large surface areas like nw’s axe, you can use insulation foam! it’s very lightweight and dense, and it’s easier to paint on than styrofoam 👍 they sell huge boards of them in michaels and home depot. i really enjoyed watching this build!
Good idea!! Styrofoam is such a pain to pant haha. Thank you!!! 😊
@@blueclarice make sure you sand and prime all your foam before you paint on it, it not only does it give it a smooth surface, it will stop the foam from drinking up all the paint!! ❤️
Getting just now into the crafting side of cosplay is wild
Even the "simple stuff" is more difficult yet easier than you think it would be
I totally get what you mean! Some techniques are easy in theory and then when ya try them they’re all of a sudden hard?? Lol
The end result was great, the snow was an especially good touch and the ears turned out awesome! So far as the axe goes, I'm always a huge advocate for cardboard as a cheap basic prop material. Epic Cardboard Props has a bunch of videos on it, and it tends to be sturdier than styrofoam so the screws would be a more stable attachment. Additionally, you'd probably have an easier time with the screw to split the handle in half if you used a "threaded insert", it's basically just a metal tube that has threads on both the outside and the inside
Thank you for your kind words! People who can do amazing stuff with cardboard are so impressive!! I actually really wanted to use one of those metal tubes but I could not find them anywhere. I could only find the ones that go into walls which didn’t work at all. But I’ll keep an eye out for them if I ever decide to create another large prop again lol
much like "5 minute crafts", many Tik-Tok tutorials are basically fake. a lot of camera trickery, "we didn't need to film that bit", "nevermind the 50 attempts that DIDN'T work and we didn't show", etc etc.... which really sucks, because a lot of people continue to believe in it, despite the terrible success rate.
I kind of understand why they do it cause it’s a short amount of time to show how to do things, but at the same time it’s not entirely helpful. I’ve noticed shorts like that are better to get inspiration even if what they said didn’t work out :)
@@blueclarice inspiration, yes. instruction, no. at least half are completely made up and simply can't work as described, based on a number of youtubers attempting to replicate or debunk it. ...and yet people keep watching, and they keep getting richer and richer from it.
Omg my friend sent this to me because she recognized me and my bf (witching hour ada and emil on the ground !! I was emil) at the meet up clips LOL Your night watch was absolutely amazing in person!!!! This vid was also so informative and entertaining omfg loved it sm
