I was about to go out and buy another printer !
I tried what you said but the first couple of times was not successful. Then I read your comment about removing the paper from the feed tray. Tried again, success but light came back on after printing ! At least I can print again even if I have to reset occasionally.

thanks for the video..i bought hp 2545 in saudi and now iam in india..original catridge number is hp650(black)..then i changed the catridge to hp678(black)..but it showed incompatible catridge..then i called the hp customer care.. they r ready to help to change the region settings for the printer..if the region settings are changed i can use hp678 catridge permanently without any error.. will update once i did the region settings change..

You need to contact hp customer support to help you changr your printer region. After that you can use hp678 catridge.

Hi ... that is the fix for one shot. but I fixed mine (HP4280) definitely by replacing two 330Uf/50V caps in the power supply which were bulging , causing loss of cartridge communication. Uneasy, but worked fime for me. This is HP quality, those printers fail after a couple of years...They will tell you buy a new cartridge or new printer.

No need. That has worked fine for me. It is just not very easy as a soldering.
Now the printer starts fine on the good display page. It is good for a few more years ...
Caps were exactly 330Uf/25V. There are four in total(two 330Uf/25V and two 330Uf /50V) I just replaced the two who had an apparent malformation (leak)

I took the cartridges out of the printer I bought just a couple months ago, cleaned all contacts and read the label on the top of them, though they had come installed when I purchased it. They are both labeled "Intended for single use only." and the tri-color is also labeled "Setup Cartridge". That's a new one on me.

Thank you for your visit, yeah you must do reset again when you want to print other document.
But i have some trick to solve this problem, you can simultaneously.
E.g. when 1 want print doc A and doc B, do it simultaneously so they will not blink until you finish print that document.

My friend, blinking cartridge LED sometimes is for Damage the head or cartridge board, Some times it's because after showing ink run out message, after confirm you want to continue, wrong code or command will copy to cartridge, So THIS METHOD just for when the wrong code has been copied, Not for Head damage, when the head is damaged, in test print command, the color of that cartridge, is missed
