The Saints' defense was as good as the Raiders', and their offense was even better since they had paid Carr a mountain of money to at least take them to the playoffs. However, that didn't happen, even though the NFC South was much weaker than the AFC West. Not only did he fail to lead the Saints to the playoffs, but he also caused everyone to fight. Thank goodness we cut Carr.
100% yes if Carr had the control at the line of scrimmage to play call. Carr had already got the team to the playoffs on less talent on both sides off the ball.

Wifi: technically, the Saints REALLY wanted to do so, they could trade or release DC4 in 2025. Carr would still be cheaper than the rumored Dak Prescott and provide about the same productivity. I have higher hopes than you for Minshew, however.
Hopefully AOC/Minshew start working out with Davante soon and try laying the groundwork for a successful season.

Mark Davis wanted Carr out, without the bad press, and so before giving him another huge payday, he hired the biggest weasel in the league to get rid of him, Josh McDaniels.
It's the only thing that makes sense when you factor the easyout contract and the hamstrung play calling that was clearly designed to leave Carr at a disadvantage.
I think DA realizes this, and it sticks in his craw.
Davis wanted brady but gruden picked carr over him, carr got an extension but with a get out clause after 1 year. Brady was the plan all along, but brady retired because he didnt want to play for mcgenius, so they went after injury prone jimmy only after carr turned down mcgenius when he tried asking carr to stay because brady retired and wasnt going to play for the raiders.
