I remember when the album came out in 1993. All the ballads on there were hidden gems because she was so famous for her dance music. But I don't think a lot of those fans really knew how good a singer she was when the beat was not the main focus
@@Farr50 - Yes Robin S is a very underrated singer. She has a really big voice with lots of range. On her second album in 1997 she really showed off her vocal abilities. But there are a lot of singers who are known for dance music and have really great voices. Patti LaBelle said the same thing about Donna Summer. If you take away all the dance music and just listen to her voice, people don't realize how great of a singer she was because her voice is buried behind all the music.

Also, don't even get me started on my Donna! All my favorite Donna songs are the slow ones she wasn't known for: "Any Way At All", "Christmas Spirit" and "Only the fool survives". Actually Donna's 1987 album "All Systems Go" is my favorite and it was such a stray from her signature sound. I could go on and on! The other great Robin one is "When you find love"

I also think she might have done a live performance of this on BET's Video LP..... Not sure. But this is,hands down, my favorite song by Robin S. Written by Frank Wildhorn, of Stacy Lattisaw fame(Miracles). Where did music like this ever go?
