Looks like I'm the of one out, I love the original but I still really like this, it's really like listening the the garage concerts I loved in high school. It's a completely different mood but it a different band of course it's going to be different. Good job on this one!
+Portia Romana Yeah, I get that peopel think its "underwhelming" but it's kinda hard to tear it up and rock out in a small room with very little noise control haha.
The comments here are ruthless. It's a cover, they can cover it however the fuck they want, and they did. Don't like it? Don't listen to it. No need to bash it, just move on and don't click the like button.
I love Modern Baseball AND Violent Soho. This was an underwhelming cover in my opinion. I was waiting for all of them to harmonize and sing the last part of the song together, and it never came.
this is an amazing cover, for one they did put their own spin on it, this is just how mobo sounds live as well, if you don't like it you probably just don't like the band
I'm I big fan of violent soho, and I thought it was alright until it got to the first 'it's alright', then I was disappointed. I wanted energy, I did not get energy
Took away a lot of the energy and mood of the original without really putting anything else back into it. Stepped up the pace but the vox sounded tired and lazy.
yeah, its okay, its a nice take on the original song but Violent Soho have written songs that suit their style, and a lot of bands cant remake the energy they put out when its played
I'm actually a huge fan of modern baseball but I'm sorry to say this was just embarrassing. Did someone tell them they had to do an Australian song or something?
Jake n the gangs take on this actually feels like a cover in their vibe n not just a replication
4 years later and this still rocks, great performance!

2:02 is true perfection of sound, picture and the moment.
im not sure why this is getting hate, i like the cover, it weirdly reminds me of interpol.
It's like Violent Soho but they took Valium and then played dope calypso
lol ouch
Violent soho song, modern baseball playing it with a pine grove shirt on. Possibly the best combination.
Love the Pinegrove shirt!
What a diverse group of people they look.
Oh I know, I thought the same thing.
personally love it, they did it their style and i think it sounds great
Greats recognising greats. I’m down for this.
I feel like Modern Baseball covered it as Modern Baseball, and im down for that it still seems underwhelming but I still dig it.
+ThePartyboy1331 thats the whole point of like a version man
true
My thoughts exactly. They didn’t bring the energy that song requires.
@@ShawnxEdge a song doesn't require a certain energy, people have been transposing songs from other genres for years...mad I know
I like this version

Agreed . . . but it still sucks lol
Someone seems triggered
I love both bands. plain and simple they're amazing!
a mixture of two dope bands
I like both bands so much and this cover is such an interesting meeting of worlds
Plz come back
dis was cool, but I think Ian should've got lead vocals.
Ferntree sadly he rarely ever gets lead vocals these days. Besides he actually did fairly well with the vocal harmonies on this track

love these guys
Goated
I really liked it :)
yeaaaah!!!
Ngl, freaked out when I saw this
Interpol vibes
i love jake’s voice but i wish ian took lead vocals on this one. other than that, this was pretty great
Really wish he sang more
Different from the original. I like it tbh
Love
This is dope
Wtf how did I just find this
oi same!! just found this voting for like a version hottest xD childhood bands in one
FIRST AGAIN YO NEVER BEEN THIS EARLY TO A TRIPLE J VIDEO
The two guys on the inside look like guys that the two guys on the outside would have totally bullied in high school
+Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtel Two guys on the right were best friends in high school, SO THERE, TAKE THAT.
+Luke Middleton I don't think he was saying they did, just that they looked like they would've.
+Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtel Not in this case though, They're all great friends and really lovely (:
they probably did
+ck fancy seeing you here bro!
Fack me dead, fuckin love modern baseball and violent Soho, ow the fuck am I just earin this?
I'm I big fan of violent soho, and I thought it was alright until it got to the first 'it's alright', then I was disappointed. I wanted energy, I did not get energy
You guys gotta learn to enjoy shit more lol not everything is perfect
Nothing wrong with not liking something.
Wasn't awful but definitely not what I expected out of Modern Baseball
y u no do saramona said?

IDGAF what people say this is way more catchy than the original.
Jason Bernal this is so flat. It's like a less exciting version of the original. I believe the original was catchier in my opinion
Lol no no no... so wrong! Terribly incorrect.
@@ShawnxEdge Yeah, this is a very amature-sounding version of a great song lol
i like it but a complaint i do have that the drums dont have that crisp sound that they should
yeah, its okay, its a nice take on the original song but Violent Soho have written songs that suit their style, and a lot of bands cant remake the energy they put out when its played
does that drummer ever groove?!?
They sound like silversun pickups
I like the violent soho version better but this is ok
legal
mantab, us cover aus :D
its ok, drummer needs to tighten up but
I love this version but I feel like they should have played more aggressively.
Feel like the drums are lacking esp the into. Decent cover I guess.
LONG LIVE VIOLENT SOHO!!!
so much potential but so dissapointing
so average
I'm actually a huge fan of modern baseball but I'm sorry to say this was just embarrassing. Did someone tell them they had to do an Australian song or something?
Worst LAV ever.
Holy shit its Napoleon Dynamite on bass!!
Не хватает взрыва в припеве
well they need a new drummer
right? struggled to make it through due to the drums.
+HarveyKarate he's usually far better idk what was up with this
Sean (the drummer) is an amazing drummer he just wasn't as tight here as usual
I NEVER NOTICED THE PINEGROVE T-SHIRT
:30
You can tell they are american
Damn, this is not a hard song to cover on the drums. Sloppy.
My ears are bleeding.
Sorry but that was pretty awful. What have been cool to see them put their own spin on the song, but this was just plain boring
Ayyyye this is a awesome take on Dope Calypso, I do love the original more but that doesn't matter, yall fucking rock!! :)
why don't they say it's alright in chorus. because it isn't....it's bad, very bad
bored
