It may be my eyes playing tricks on me, but when you found the silver coin it looked like there was a second coin in the same clod of dirt. You can see it, or whatever it was, at; 9:59, 10:07 and 10:14. Either way, great finds. Congratulations.
Yes it was grass... The color on the camera looks different than it did out there.. I did see a coin I messed back in 2010..i went back because I only hunted the spot once.. And sure enough silver merc..

Gonehunting For History dont you own your own metal detecting business ?.arent metal detectors popular over in us or ?. on another note .i was having a discussion with one of my american friends online the other day about america and all the shootings and was wondering what is your stance on guns .cause they recently released a statement showing that the states in america with the least guns had the least violence and deaths where as the states with the highest guns had a huge death toll .last yr america had 4000 gun related deaths and uk ,australia and eu had like 25 .so ive always wondered why dont they ban guns like the other countrys why is america so protective of thier guns when so many people are dieing because of them ?.im not american so i dont really understand .
Gonehunting For History i have to say tho im so glad i got the deus .i used to have a ctx and i missed so many coins with it .the first day of detecting i found $52 worth of modern coins and in 2 weeks i made a wooping $404 of just modern coins in the ground that i had hunted to death with my minelab ctx3030 .its really wierd cause i feel like if there is alot of trash in the ground the ctx is practically useless . i just could not believe how fast the deus was even on reactivity 2 i was practically running and i really realised just how good the deus was when i found a coin spill and went over 7 coins all about a few cms apart and i thought the machine was playing up but sure enough when i checked there was $9 worth of coins in the ground .i used to think the english guys were just overhyping it but boy was i wrong .long story short sold the heavy brick ctx and never looked back .
Jason Thai it's more a matter of people are evil. Guns don't kill people do.. Just like all the car accidents.. I've lost several friends to car accidents yet cars are still legal.. If people began to act like a human instead of an animal there would be a lot less. The problem with banning guns is the ones that are killing are breaking the law in the first place.. Do you think a law banning them will fix that.. Law abiding citizens have the right to bear arms.. Taking away that right would go against the Constitution and leaven those individuals defenseless against the ones that could care less about the law.
Jason Thai the CTX is useless unless it is programmed correctly.. Every situation requires different settings and tactics... I can take the CTX and blow the Deus out of the water when it comes to iding and digging coins.. And dig a lot less trash while doing it.. Not saying the Deus can't handle it's own.. But it's a great machine.. If you just digging clad under 5 inches.. Then the CTX is definitely the wrong machine for you.. But if you are digging older coins past the 5 inch range and want the Id to be spot on then the CTX is a good fit... I hunt with both but I'm not a clad hunter..i want old coins/relics at depth... With the Id to back it.

That is the 11" coil.. I love the coil.. It's not too heavy.

i find my profind from minelab plays up really bad with my deus .
Yeah Jason's does cause mind to crosstalk as well.
i swear these guys find silver every 5 seconds i suspect planting of coins lol :).
