thats interesting, I used the salon 40 to de-yellow and restore a super famicom console shell to its original gray color, I coated it in the 40 and put it under UV light for a day
Absolutely love the aged look (just on midsoles tho) - I did the exact same thing to my pair with the cream lace swap but I went the marker route 😅 #nopatience 💯 agree with you about haters who keep saying “just wear your shoes to age them naturally” - no shit! But I’m not gonna wait hella years for them to finally get that hint of cream on the midsole
@@JeffreyAlexanderYT yea great video. I’m going to try the paint markers and finish with liquid kicks and see if that works. If it doesn’t I’ll try the dye
I just bought the dye and salon 40. Couple questions, I will be using this method on my panda low. I don’t want my stitching to get as dark as yours, would using less dye help with this? Also, i would like to the sole to be a bit lighter, would less dye help with this as well?
Yes I’ve done this again on another repair, just got to play around with how much she you add. A little goes a long way, the dye is extremely pigmented. Start light, but yes you should be able to go lighter on the stitching and sole.
I tried this with your ingredients from the description and the dye really doesn’t mix with the salon care. I’ve stirred vigorously for like 5 mins and still not great
It won’t completely mix, it just helps with the application, I would start with light coats, or dilute the dye even more. Just in case. Don’t want your midsoles to become charcoal brown
And you used salon 40 in the sun afterwards to help lighten the color on the sole . The color will keep lifting to the point where the blotches are not noticeable.
I’m not sure how that interaction would work, and I wouldn’t, it seems that the mixture may eat away at paint and glue of the uppers, that’s why I prefer working on the soles only
This will last forever, because the midsole soaks in the dye and it stains it. However, IMO they marker does just as good a job although lighter. And it is way easier with just a staining marker.
don’t. not worth it cause it comes off too easy and doesn’t stay, you can get really good aged laces online, like foxtrot uniform. they make by far the best aged laces imo
Site Opens every Sunday and stays open for about a day or two. The laces will be “solid cream” but “solid oatmeal” is another great shade. They have an Insta under the same name to see their products. foxtrot-uniform.net/password
Love how u did this vid despite the hate for aging shoes . Thank you bro 🙏🏼
Wow they look even better with that aged sole. 🔥🔥
they look great, especially with the cream laces!
:) thank you!
Those are dope! I have the shoes but haven’t worn them but after this video I’m gonna have to copy you and rock them!
Came out clean 🔥🔥🔥

how did it last? Curious which way I should go
Doesn’t go away. It’s a hard dye probably stained forever tbh

@@JeffreyAlexanderYT they look like shit my shoes are pretty much ruined. Blotching all over

This, somehow turned out to be the Womans Vintage Green Dunks
Can you put that mixture on the leather upper and turn the white leather tan?
I’m not sure how that interaction would work, and I wouldn’t, it seems that the mixture may eat away at paint and glue of the uppers, that’s why I prefer working on the soles only
Is this method better than just using a marker? How does it compare and how long does it last?
This will last forever, because the midsole soaks in the dye and it stains it. However, IMO they marker does just as good a job although lighter. And it is way easier with just a staining marker.
@@JeffreyAlexanderYT Thanks homie 😀
Nice 👍
Would u recommend coffee staining the laces to make them match the soles a little more or would it end up making them darker than the sole?
Yea I’ve done it before, just have to be careful and not wet the laces because the coffee runs off

Are those lacer are the cream or the oatmeal color man?
