I wish there was more discussion on the rights and wrongs of killing more people in order to stop other people being killed. How does it help to use violence to stop violence?
The killing from the very beginning was to stop calls for a democratic revolution. Whether or not you believe Assad was the only person capable of keeping a lid on syrias sectarian differences, the killing is purely and simply about maintaining the Assad dynasty.
