- Explaining how to charge the battery of the JBL LIVE 650 bunco Wireless Bluetooth headphones.
These headphones come with a USB to micro-USB charging cable, which can be plugged into the bottom side of the left ear piece. Always make sure to plug in the connector in a straight way, not to damage the fragile charging port of the headphones.
Connect the other end of the cable with a charging cube of your smartphone or any other USB port, e.g. from a laptop.
The constantly red LED next to the charging port indicates that the battery is being charged. When this LED turns off, the battery is fully charged. A full charge takes up to two hours.
Charging the headphones seemed really complicated before I've seen this video! Amazing, thank you!
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it 👍
When I plug mine in it constantly flashes red, they don't seem to take charge any more?
In the JBL quick start manual it states: Max Input Power : 20 mW. I thought I would have to find a 0.02 Watt USB charger. After seeing this video I’ll just use my 10W Apple charger. Thank you 😊.
Started to charging. I see the red 💡, and after a few minutes it disappears
Same have you found the issue

How many time I have to charge the first time of use. Great video 😊
Mine came precharged and I could use it right away
Let us know when you figure out how to change the battery! These are really great sounding phones but I'm a little concerned about the battery and also the build quality, I had a pair of Everest Elite 600BTNC before and first the battery died and then the headband broke. Great sound, crap materials and battery. I hope my new Live650 does better!
And does it still work great
@@fireussage545 So far, so good. Still haven't figured out how to change the battery though

Hi, i hope you read my comment and give me some help, i use a bad cable to charge my jbl tune 650 btnc and something wrong happened and the headphones refused to charge, something like high voltage or some electrical issue due to the bad cable i used so now the red lamb doesn't respond to any charging cable and my headphones turn into a trash.
Plus i don't have a JBL customer service in my country, so can u help me wz that pleaseee.
I can't live without my headphones and its very expensive to get a new one here in my country (Egypt).
Thank you in advance.
Hi, Did you try using a different micro-USB cable to charge with?
@@MegaSafetyFirst yea
What should be the output ampere from charging adapter ??
If I remember right, 1 amp is enough for this model.
Thank you 🙏
im so confused... my charger does not even fit!
do the headphones have to be totally discharged to recharge them? because my 30% do not recharge
It is ok to charge them before that.
Does the LED on the headphones light up at all when plugging them in to charge?
@@MegaSafetyFirst now i tried to load them but i don't see the red led. the last time I loaded them they were totally discharged and the led was there and they loaded

Hi, it might be that the battery of your headphones has gone bad.
I have a different video that explains how to replace the battery of these headphones. If you feel confident enough to do this, you could open up the headphones and check if the original battery looks bloated - in that case the battery would be bad and needs to be replaced.
is there a way to check battery percentage when its connected to my phone?
Some phones are able to show the battery percentage. On newer Android phones you can see it in the Bluetooth settings menu.
My Oneplus 6 shows the battery life of the headphones on the bluetooth button
Hello. I loaded my headphones JBL live 650btnc the first time. After does not go off. What could be wrong??
Did you plugging it in to charge?
The headphones should turn off then.
@@MegaSafetyFirst I switched to USB cable factory and I turned on usb jack connected to my PC. I don't have a jbl charger. Because this is your first jbl purchase
Same I bought right now and the Red light doesnt off even I charge it in 3hrs
@@jozellazaro1262 Anyway, I charge through the charger using the original cable. These are two now no trouble i don't see
Does overcharging damages the battery life of the headphones??
The charge controller does prevent the headphones battery from getting damaged 👍
Can I use the charger of any smartphone? Won't that harm the headphones??
It’s no harm to the headphones to use a smartphone charger. The headphones won’t pull more than 1Amp.
@@MegaSafetyFirst what voltage and Amp should the smartphone charger output should be in order to not damage the headphones?
It needs 5 volt.
1 amp or more is good.
How to replace battery?
Hi. How to turn off? After charged, the jbl blue light doesn’t turn off.
Same problem with mine. Did you ever figure it out?
