I think I’m a bit of both. I definitely organize and declutter, but I don’t plan for the next year.
When I was a classroom teacher I only planned for the next year if I was changing grade levels..
Thanks for another great video, Bridget! I tend to be like the second teacher who is still trying to tie up loose ends for the current school year before I start working on the next school year. I would like to be more like the first teacher. I appreciate the variety of PD opportunities you have provided and I completely agree that writing is, unfortunately, put in the backseat on most programs. I wanted to also give you kudos on the first Couch Chronicles episode in Teaching to the TOP. Thanks for all the hard work you and your team do to inspire and encourage other teachers. I'm at the end of my career I left the classroom over four years ago 💝 I went into the office as the school dean a Dean in my district is what we call the principal .

Do we have the sign up for the membership before we can attend the PDs? Unfortunately I can’t afford $14.99 a month right now but would love to join on the PDs and purchase the blueprint!

I love your units for reading and high interest; teaching reading over 20 years; students are struggling more than ever to start the writing process, after working 20 years in special education; those students that struggle writing are having more difficulty due to learning the typing process; and technology at a young age. They missed on on identing, finger space between words; foundational writing skills. I am wondering have you noticed and the part of the country where you are from... I have SLD students writing 4 paragraphs with writing templates at the end of their 4th grade year, several years back and with learning the editing process; can you share anything. Now with curriculum to follow companies that write curriculum are not writing high interest age appropriate and reading level ready books, your units are the best along with others I have compiled over the past 12 years. Could you do a video on this the end of July or August?
Do you need to be a member of Bridging Literacy Community to be a part of the Reading Comprehensin Blueprint PD this summer? My goal is to read as many PD books as I can. I cannot afford the $14.99 to join the membership. I want to read the book and learn how to best use within my classroom. Also when will we have access to join the Building Literacy Bootcamp PD in July? Thank you. Alicia from CT
