I've been using this knife for about 3 months now. I use it purely as a chef knife. I bbq and smoke a lot so I've been using it quite a bit for meat prep. I've also cut a lot of veggies with it. I have to say it's a great slicer. This really is a fully functional cooking knife. Honestly, it's become my go to knife for cooking even though I have many high quality kitchen knives that cost way more than this. Love the lock on it too. The heat treat seems to be pretty good. Stays sharp as long as any vg10 I've owned. When i bought it I had no idea I'd like it as much as I do. Tac ray really hit a home run with this knife. If you cook a lot, especially outdoors, I highly recommend you buy this knife. You won't be sorry.
Idk why there isn’t more of these folding kitchen knives or why they aren’t more popular, perfect for camping or taking on the go to cookouts, or Hell just keeping it in the car for lunch…

I bought this when it was on Aliexpress. Love it. I had to loosen the pivot to flip it. I think it was under $30. I cant think of a better kitchen folder tbh. Theres nothing quite like it. Cleaning isnt ideal so its really for travelling, camping to save space and easy to pack. Just throw it in a bag
I have one too, decent slicey blade and amazing that it fits in front pocket
I bought the 4" blade version when you announced iirc on your channel and I love it and use it regularly. The only thing I wish they added to this larger version is 14c28n steel over vg10 and actual phosphorus bronze washers instead of steel washers but everything else like clip, lanyard hole, contoured scales and size is a welcome change.
I've got both, the bigger was way more sharp out of the box. Both great prep knives. It's funny the smaller guy doesn't come with a clip.
You neglected to mention it is what I would call, as a left-hander, a left-handed button lock, which is the primary reason I purchased it. I own several button locks, all on the other side of the handle from this one. I have to activate them using the index finger of my left hand. No biggie but it's nice to have something I can activate with my left thumb. ✌
I bought one, it will either be for me or as a gift to my mom when camping.
Good vacation knife. Kitchen knives are never sharp at vacation rentals.
That would be a killer kitchen blade. Like butter cutting steaks.
I cook a lot and it’s great. Chopping herbs, slicing potatoes, etc. Wish mine had a pocket clip, that’s new.

I have this…super slicy, strong enough for most uses. The plunge grind on mine is better than on this version, though.

You do need it. I've been using one of these for a few months and consider it one of the best knife purchases I've made in years. Such a great food prep knife.

Totally legal to open/conceal carry any of these in Wisconsin. We got rid of our stupid knife laws when Scott Walker was the Governor. No blade length or auto knife restrictions here. Great vid....love the 🔪 .
Good to hear... in Maine, we can own any knife, but the carry laws are ridiculously vague and subject to interpretation. You could be carrying an OTF legally, or you might be a criminal for carrying an assisted knife you bought at Wal Mart, depending on the cop. It ain't right.
That isn't right. Laws that are vague, purposely difficult to understand, or interpret how they may be enforced are unconstitutional in my humble opinion.
I've been looking at this and the OKnife R1 to get my wife for a camp folding knife but NEVER could bring myself to buy one... Cool to hear someone who's opinion I trust say it's a good knife. I think she'll be stoked to have one in her camp kitchen kit. Awesome thanks for the review Jared. This is why I watch this channel.
