Wendi's Story: Surviving Chemo [Part 3]

Part 3/3. Wendi is finishing up chemotherapy and the transplant, but faces incredible sickness with Graft vs. Host disease and mucositis.
She's able to return home on her wedding anniversary, although she's still recovering from chemo and faces infections and other things later.
As she concludes her story, she gives us some final thoughts:
"I didn't choose to have cancer...but within that, I had choices that I could make."
"As I talked with the medical professionals there, one of the biggest things they say to getting better is the choice to be kind; the choice to be positive."
"We always have a choice."
We are not defined by a diagnosis-it's up to us to choose who we are.
