We are finding this to be more of a common failure point as FDs age. High resistance in that connector on the fuel sender is often from corrosion. Definitely becoming part of general maintenance. You future proofed yourself with the new bulkhead connector. Should be good for another 30+ years and considered a reliabilit mod/supporting mod for more power.
Glad to see more FD content, I have almost your same car in white so I like to see your progress.
