I’ve built 5 of them but mine is not in class to yours. This is the best I’ve ever seen. Beautiful work. I have owned 3 Peterbilt but that’s why I like them so much. You cut the pipes the way I had. I’ve never seen such good work. Thanks for a beautiful piece of work.
You know what I like most about you , your builds and your video's? The way you are brutally honest. The way you take a crap kit and put the work and effort into it and the end results come out amazing. You take the time to do it right and it is quite pleasurable to see and watch even though it was not for you to build. Fantastic job on another wonderful looking build my friend.
Thanks Chris that means a lot bro 😄 no need to blow smoke up peoples but about a kit that's not that great then they go buy one hopping it's just going to be a dream to build from herring others talk about how great it is when it really is a pos lol like the old saying you get what you pay for I paid 10 bucks for the kit the average big truck kit is 70 bucks so you get what you pay for lol thanks for watching bro I always look forward to your comments talk to you latter buddy
Kel Gaither As it turns I have that kit in my small stash. I do plan to build it after a few ongoing projects are finished up. Thanks to your vid I know what to expect. Like you said, easy for me to accept what it is knowing what I am getting into.
She turned out great brother. I've built this kit once before and I have another on the shelf...they do fight you going together. Love the paint job bro, real slick.
Thanks bro I enjoyed painting it just the hole fore the parts to fit just kinda got me I also have the w900 but don't know if I'll ever build it after this one the other truck kits I have are way nicer made looks to be a pleaser to build well thanks for watching
Kel Gaither I'm looking to get some nicer truck kits. I might be selling off some of the kits I have to go toward buying the truck kits. I agree with you that you get what you pay for. I look forward to watching the LoneStar truck build
I'm going to do the prostar first I also just order a Tamiya 1/32 p51 Mustang and going to get some more high end big truck kits one will be the 378 Peterbilt the other will be the 377
styrenejunkie73 I've built three of this kit .First was for the motor for another twin engine build, liked the kit that I assembled it without the motor, later carved one out of bass wood and stretched it and put a lift axle on it and scratched a headache rack for it. Next one ,stretched and scratched a roll back car hauler bed for it The last one was just a box stock til it broke in half right behind the sleeper! So as these are all short hoods I stretched the frame and hood! Turned out alright, need to rework the hood a little. Steam bent bass wood sheets into full rear fenders and made a wood deck cover for it to match the fenders!
You sure can't tell you had any problems brother. Excellent paint work. I love the Testors Root Beer color. Going to have to put it on something. Well done brother.
Kel Gaither well I like the hell out of it and I haven't got to building for showing I like trying to build stuff I have seen in person it is a lot of fun take care brother
Cut the the insert out those tires then soak them in warm repeat until tires get soft . Drill out the rim holes gives it a nice look I stretched the frame also replace the tires with bigrig wheel and tire set for a quick build it looks good.i only buy those kits in junk re builders. I have the original unbuilt its first release from monogram it's a snap together kit the kenworth also
Great job on the paint. Looks awesome. I drive one just like it, only it's black. I'm planning on building a replica of the one I drive. Oh and the only thing I did want to mention...the antennas do go bent forward like that, but you need to go a little more, roughly 45 degree angle and then it would be perfect. But you pulled this one out of a hat, came out amazing.
I believe this truck is the most beautiful model I’ve seen. You did a super good job. I wish I could build as good as yours. The tires is the worst I’ve ever seen. I always cut the middle out but couldn’t get them to fit good. The last time I built another Peterbilt I didn’t cut them out and just lined everything up and they turned out very good. I was buying Moebius tires and that was getting expensive and the tires chrome are terrible so I quit them but I have four kits don’t know when I use them. You have one good looking job. I like the color and can I ask where you got the paint.
@@jimsmodelcargarage3196 thanks bro I’m trying to get back at it I just devoted all my extra time to my Health getting fit !! Been doing a lot of out door stuff
The paint looks fantastic, and sorry it didnt build well, but someone suggested to me once this was a good "practice" kit for as a snap tight if you are just getting into the big rigs...glad you didn't introduce it to the wall, she looks very nice indeed...
I've got this kit at home... I plan to swap the kit supplied wheels and tires with some from an Italeri kit in my parts box. I'm not sure what color to paint it just yet. Any tips to ease the build process?
HI, when you paint inside the cab, and the engine for example, do you use a brush to paint with> Or spray paint from a can> Thanks, nice build looks so great.
That looks super nice makes me wanna build one ive been wanting to im actually waiting til january when the new car hauler come out great job pal talk at ya later
Brother she is Awesome !! I LOVE the way she turned out ... You did a great job ... I know you will hate me when I say thus but I actually like that kit .. I guess because it's an affordable kit that builds out nice . KUTGW my friend !
Great looking Truck man, I like the color you chose, and the gloss to it looks really nice. I've seen this kit built a few times before it's a big kit, I can't believe it's a snap kit, what were they thinking?
Thanks buddy it's a old monogram kit form the 80s lol I have just got some really nice truck kits going to start one real soon thanks for watching buddy
There are better truck kits out there for sure, I like the way yours finished. This kit is a good one to cut up and do something custom with, inexpensive and pretty basic. You are going to spoil yourself with the Prostar! Have fun.
